Coffee

Is drinking a cup or two of coffee a day really bad?

At first, drinking lots of cola helped with the nausea.

Chocolate pepernoten.

Will it really all be that bad?

No, as long as you take it in moderation. Just use common sense and don't let the hormones get to you.

Coffee is really not healthy for your baby, but I'm sure you already know that!

Cola, just do the same. Just stop it.

Chocolate pepernoten, well, not healthy but not bad for your baby either.

I don't drink coffee myself, so I've never really delved into it. But I thought 1 or 2 cups was acceptable? Otherwise, you could maybe try making decaf coffee (if that helps). Everything in moderation and don't let them get to you

My midwife said you’re allowed 3-4 cups a day if you really can’t do without it. I’m not really a coffee person, but I do enjoy a small cup every morning, and I just have that. But I never have more than one.
I do avoid everything else that’s not allowed or not good for me.
And as my grandma would say, we didn’t know this back in the day, I’ve had coffee during all my pregnancies and all my kids are healthy haha.

    Hi ladies,

I’m quite a coffee fan, and since I’ve been trying to conceive for a month and a half, I want to adjust my eating and drinking habits a bit. I’ve switched to decaf coffee. Is that okay for the future baby, I assume? Or is it not good either because of certain substances?

You just need to make sure you don't get too much caffeine. If you drink 2 cups of coffee a day and then have a few glasses of cola, that's not good. But if you drink 2 cups of coffee and then only water or caffeine-free drinks, it's not a big deal.
As already mentioned here, you just shouldn't overdo it .

From now on, I’ll have one cup a day with breakfast, and no more decaf after that. Because I also like to have a glass of cola from time to time. Especially since I’ve been throwing up since 8 weeks, it helps anyway.

Chocolate also contains caffeine. I'd really pay attention. 1a2 is acceptable. It also depends on how much caffeine you get otherwise... Someone who never drinks coffee... Yeah, they shouldn't start with that... Someone who drinks coffee all day long... Their body is almost immune to it.
Yes, they didn't know back then... But not all children were born healthy. Not even today. But I'm sure by following the right info... You'll save your child a lot of trouble.
