Baby room

Hey,

I’d love to know how you decorated the baby’s room.
We have the furniture, but I’m not sure how to proceed.

Do you have any nice tips for the walls or accessories for a boy’s nursery?

Look at what you like. I have a gender-neutral room because we didn't know what it was going to be. But it's very cheerful, painted by myself with grass, clouds, a few flowers and trees, and very big, cheerful, and friendly insects. IKEA had some really nice things back then that matched, a canopy in the shape of a leaf, a mobile with insects, a lamp in the shape of a sun. But you can also use wall stickers, my sister did that, and it turned out really cool with a sea theme. You can go in any direction with it.

That's such a personal thing. I painted and decorated the crib and dresser myself with little dogs. Just like on the curtains I've wanted to use for a long time.
It works for both boys and girls. But of course there are plenty of people who choose pink or blue. Or maybe a wall mural/sticker instead.
You first have to figure out what you like. After all, it's your baby's room.
Do you want cartoon characters, animals, flowers, jungle, graphic designs, color?
Take a look around on Google, Instagram, etc. My room is completely furnished with things you don't normally find in baby stores anymore. Because I've refurbished and made everything myself. I like that. But it's not easy either because you have to think really well about what and how you want it. That's why it's a bit late to be ready. But well, I'm happy to see that it's exactly as I imagined in my head and there's no second one like it.

A cute rug on the floor. And we had a name banner/flag made. Check Google or Pinterest! We first hung it downstairs after the birth. And it's going on the wall in his room soon.
Also, we've placed a nice vintage suitcase, still empty for now, but toys will go in there. And a shelf on the wall with a nightlight and reading books.
Pinterest has lots of fun examples of what you could do! Enjoy!
