Oh, and the -ke names are now also on the list. Eefke/Famke. Thanks for all the tips )

Mathilde sounds like a great choice! It's a nice middle ground between what she'll definitely not mind and what you both like!
Pietje and Jantje are glad that's not what it's going to be haha

Haha yes! I'm so happy too! It could've just as easily been a Pietje and Jantje born!

I personally find them terrible names. If you really want to, why not just write it without 'tje on paper and call them that? I think 'tje is cute for babies, but as they get older, it's totally not fitting.

    Dear Anonymous,
Of course you're welcome to share your thoughts on the names I'm considering. Of course you're welcome to post on this forum. But I find it annoying that you're responding under my 'name'.
To the other forum members, thank you once again. The response to Maranne and Floydi does not come from me.
You're welcome to think they're terrible names, as long as our little ones won't be bothered by them. We think we're handling this well. Thanks for all the help.

I like your new options. I myself have a name derived from a boy's name, never liked it and it's perfect for being teased. Kids can be mean to each other unfortunately. But it's super that you want to give your kids different names, different first initials I think is important to avoid confusion. Have fun choosing names and later with your twins. A special time ahead! My name here on Brabbels is also a pseudonym haha

I think it has a certain charm. My daughter is named after my grandmother and has Jaantje as her middle name. I wouldn't give it as a first name because I prefer something a bit more flowing, but I definitely don't see it as derogatory or anything like that when a name ends in -je.

I do like it, but I wouldn't choose it myself.
Well, luckily tastes differ, otherwise everyone would have the same name.
