Baby Names
Anne or Mette
LauraGuest ·
Hi there,
I'm currently 32 weeks pregnant, and the restlessness is setting in about what to name our first child. We can't agree, and soon our little girl will really need a name, oh dear.
What appeals to me about names: not too long, no doubt about pronunciation, I find a long sound in it beautiful (Eva/Suus/etc), preferably not a top-list name.
Dutch/Scandinavian, ...
So far we've considered Mette and Anne (neither fully meets my list, I know).
With Mette, I like that the name isn't very common, but is "Met Mette..." in everyday use not bothersome?
Anne feels timeless, sweet, strong, ... but absolutely not original.
Nice, but rejected by my partner: Nina, Nine/Niene, S uze, Jade
What do you think of the names Anne and Mette? Maybe you have a suggestion?
