Low appetite

who else has less appetite than usual? i used to have a big sweet tooth in the evenings, but now i don't crave sweets anymore. i do have a dry mouth constantly though. but i'm not really feeling hungry yet. i do eat, though, because i know that structure is important for meals. but simple things like a plain cracker or a cracker with something on it taste great for breakfast now. i never ate that before. simple is basically what i'm craving for, and it's healthy too, i don't have any cravings for unhealthy stuff.

Hi Nij, I don't know how far along you are, but I do know that your appetite can change a lot under the influence of hormones. Things you normally never liked can suddenly make you crave them, but it can also go the other way; suddenly having no appetite at all!
I'm in the second half of my pregnancy and I'm noticing more and more that I can only eat small bites. I also have much less appetite and feel full for a very long time.
So I have to force myself to eat my meals and grab some snacks in between.
It varies greatly from person to person and can also change throughout the pregnancy

It's been such a big frustration here. Things I used to eat just fine, I can barely get down now (broccoli, green beans)... Only fatty food still goes down okay haha. I'm trying to get it down by putting some low-fat apple sauce over it, but it's tough. I wish I could enjoy my homemade dinners more, since we eat them about 6 nights a week. I want to take good care of my baby, but it's not always easy. Had another crying fit during dinner yesterday. Ended up just having a banana. I'm now 17+6 weeks pregnant.

@nij, I have exactly the same as you. Much less cravings than before and the need for sweet snacks has also disappeared. Besides that, I have a dry mouth and a strange taste in my mouth.
Also, I only want to eat healthy things now, avoiding fried and unhealthy snacks.
In my previous pregnancies, I had the opposite, craving unhealthy food and barely being able to swallow healthy food.
Anyway, I'm glad about it haha
