Cramps

Hi everyone,

My 5-week-old daughter is really struggling with colic. Because of this, she cries a lot and is very tired.
Does anyone have tips on how I can help my baby feel less pain?

For us, moving her legs helped (like pedaling—holding both little feet at the same time and moving them up and down). This brought relief, and sometimes she’d fall asleep right away. Another thing that sometimes helped was laying her across your arm and walking around (she’d be on her tummy with her head near your elbow, and you can rub her back with your other hand). If nothing helps, I’d suggest asking a doctor—maybe it’s something else after all (like an allergy?). Good luck!

I'd put my son on my legs (lying on his tummy), then massage his back, do a cycling motion, put a thermometer in his bottom (after putting a little baby oil on it first), then gently push downwards so all the air comes out. If you give him, for example, verbena tea (look it up), I sometimes gave it to him directly.
