Missing kidney/kidney pelvis

On the ultrasounds, they found out that our little one (I'm now 35 weeks pregnant) has a dilated renal pelvis. They're keeping a close eye on it, and it doesn't have to be serious at all. We didn't want to know the baby's gender, but I keep hearing from everyone that this condition mostly occurs in boys. Does that mean the gender surprise is off the table, or could it still be a girl? I'd love to hear your thoughts!
