What should I do with this?

Men... hihi! I do recognize what Tooby is saying. I also had an ex who found the smell of women's underwear arousing. I once caught him with my own boxers, actually. At that moment, I found it kind of sweet because he said he missed me and wanted to smell my scent. Strange maybe, but I took it as a compliment back then, and he was my boyfriend, so nothing weird. If he found someone else's underwear interesting, he'd probably do it for the arousal, I guess, and I'd have a harder time with that.

@Muis, I also put things neatly in the laundry basket; we have three little ones running around, so I think it's a good idea that they don't see all that weird dried-up discharge all the time. I let my man put his boxers away a bit "neatly" (as only men can do too. If it's an "old" string, I think there's not much exciting left about it anyway; after a while, the laundry basket just smells like laundry to me, but I haven't tried it myself. I don't think you should tell her. You're not entirely sure, and if a friend told me this, I wouldn't believe her and would be angry.

@Tooby, what used underwear did your ex have if they were already a few days old? And how did you find out about it? It's good that you're away from that guy. Especially that you mention the abuse; men should just keep their hands off women!! Sorry, I'm getting angry about this.

@Maartje, yeah exactly, if it's your own stuff, it's still cute (or so, yeah it's a bit weird to talk about it like this hahaha but I get you). My ex had something to do with it because they were still ''good'' for him (again, weird to talk about it like this) and he kept the rest. I found out when I stayed there for a few nights and wanted to put my clothes away, there was a bag (and I was curious of course) and that's where it was. At first no big deal for me because I knew he loved mine too and maybe they were old etc.
I told him and he got angry of course (yes ladies, I should have known then, but stupid Tooby still stayed longer under the guise of ''changed well'' and I wanted him to throw them away. He did, but later I found the same bag back, so he had picked it up again ..
It's really nice that I'm away from that guy indeed, the whole relationship was over 5 years ago and now I'm finally starting to feel like myself again and gain trust in my current man.


Just a disclaimer that not all men who have something with underwear would do this with other women's underwear or so, I think most men can think about it. Hopefully for you Muis and your girlfriend, this was really something else or a one-time action of that friend.

Oh, you can just ask him if he’s been in the bathroom? Like, you left the door open because of the heat and now it’s shut. Then you’ll see how he reacts right away. And if he says, “Oh yeah, I just ran upstairs because...” then I’d let it go. But if he starts stuttering and making excuses, haha, then at least don’t let him stay at your place anymore. Well, that’s what I’d do.

I also think it's because women's natural scent is attractive to men. I mean, men find that area down there fantastic too, right? It could also be that they associate that smell or the used underwear with sex and get aroused by it. Could it be that the cat just decided to settle in the laundry basket (they often seek out their owner's scent when they're away) and dug around in there? Maybe your friend found the cat there and closed the door so the cat couldn't get back into the laundry basket?
And there are probably even more explanations where he didn't have any "bad intentions" at all...
I'd just ask something like: "Hey, I thought I left the bathroom door open, did you happen to go into the bathroom?"

Yuzarsiff, that’s so true! I know plenty of men who find it nice, tasty, and smell good! And maybe for some men, having used underwear is like a little trophy? I don’t really know how they enjoy it. You can see any possible discharge, but as Muis says, fresh stuff might have a bit of a smell, but once it’s dried, it doesn’t really smell to me.

Rosa, that’s totally possible!! I sometimes find our cat in the laundry basket too, hahaha. But I think the conversation was more about what men do with used underwear.

Since I was pretty curious about what men find so attractive about a used thong, I took a look in my own laundry basket. But besides the slightly musty laundry smell I mentioned earlier, I didn't smell anything else, bah! So I guess it's more about the idea that someone has worn it, or the discharge you can see?

Mouse, do you happen to know if that friend of yours finds you attractive? What I gather is that IF he did it, a man would only do that because it turns him on. What was said before is that he probably gets aroused by the discharge he can see? I think you can't really smell it anymore once it's dried. But I often wear a panty liner when I have more discharge, so there's not much to see anyway! Have you done anything with that friend yet? Or are you letting it rest?

For some men/guys, this is totally normal. There's indeed something arousing about the smell and sight of worn underwear, since it's associated with sex.
There are also women who seriously make money with it. They sell a pair of panties for 15 to 20€ each. Calculate your profit when you just have to wear them without having to do anything for it!
