Ovulation test positive or negative?

DaisyGuest ·
Hi everyone!
Quick question... I have the ovulation tests from Action and I did one this morning, which is the bottom one, and it's quite dark. Is this negative? Or do you think if I go clubbing with my boyfriend tonight I'll be in time because tomorrow might be my peak? I don't know if this is already the peak or if I should try a test tomorrow and it will be super clear!
Any experience with this?
Love, Daisy

Hey! I don't think this is positive (yet). When I get a positive ovulation test, the line is really as thick as the control line and just as dark or even darker. I'd definitely keep testing Good luck!

He's indeed still negative. It's best to test around the same time now (between 12:00 and 16:00, as doctors recommend, NOT with the first morning urine). If it gets much darker, it's recommended to test twice a day.

So if you're having sex every other day around your fertile days, you're definitely not too late. Sperm can live for several days in a woman under the right conditions. If a man ejaculates too often, it can affect the swimming quality of the sperm cells. But that's not the case for every man, of course. We played it safe and went every other day. This ovulation test could still get darker, although it varies from woman to woman. By testing consistently, you'll figure it out. And not with your morning urine. But that's in the instructions, of course. Good luck and now hope it's a successful attempt!

Thanks so much for all the replies! I do indeed always use morning urine... I've always done it that way and never clearly seen a line, maybe that's why?? Haha.

The line from this morning is the same as yesterday's. We're testing every other day indeed. And hoping everything goes well. We'll see.

    Love,

Still not positive, but I think it's getting close. Do you know when your period should be next time? Or when was your last period?

I have an irregular cycle so I wouldn't know haha! I'm on day 13 now. So we'll see! Doing our best!

How did it go for you guys??

The first 2 cycles after removing the IUD were 35 days (ovulation on cycle day 21) and 31 days (ovulation on cycle day 16). Ovulation is usually about 14-15 days before your next period. But well, that doesn't help much haha.

You can also pay attention to ovulation symptoms and keep an eye on your discharge. I'd just keep testing, every day, no first morning urine, between 12:00-16:00 (around the same time each day), and when it suddenly gets much darker, you're getting closer. I think you're already getting closer anyway.
