If you've had a period in between, I don't think it could be from a possible miscarriage.

If you haven't had your period yet, you could get your blood drawn twice to check if your hCG (pregnancy hormone) levels are rising.

    Good luck.

Are you testing your lines? I mean, are the lines on the tests becoming clearer and darker each day? If so, then you're pregnant.

Attached is a photo of the tests, does anyone have advice?

Hmm, they're not really rising, and to be honest, I find them even a bit decreasing. It could be that you were pregnant and are now having an early miscarriage... I'm not a doctor, but after everything I've read, that's what it seems like if your hCG is dropping—it's not good. I don't want to scare you now, but that's what I THINK.
I'd go to the GP on Monday, get a blood test, and then again two days later. Based on your hCG levels in your blood, they can give you more clarity. Good luck, girl!!

But it's possible that your hcg levels might still be fluctuating a bit at the beginning, which might explain why the tests aren't completely clear yet. So don't let what I just said get to you right away—I'm just speculating, okay! A doctor can give you more clarity.

That could also be the case, Sonja. I hope it turns out to be a good pregnancy after all, but if I were you, I wouldn't fixate too much on it. But I guess you're not doing that anyway; I think you're quite level-headed, and that's good. Good luck!

It's a matter of waiting and seeing..

Unfortunately, it ended badly. I was so happy yesterday because the line on the test had clearly gotten darker. Today I'm really sad. I probably had a miscarriage this morning. Lots of blood with clots. Does anyone know how long it takes for HCG to leave the blood and for the pregnancy symptoms to go away?

Oh no So it was a miscarriage after all. I'm really sorry for you. Lots of strength, girl.
It varies from person to person. For example, you could test again in a week or so and see if the line is gone.

When would you expect me to ovulate again? Just around 14 days since I was only 4 weeks and 2 days pregnant?
  13. ---- #14

As I said before, it varies from person to person. Some get their period after a month, others after 14 days, but it can also take much longer. It's different for everyone. For example, I had ovulation again after about 3 weeks, at 18 weeks postpartum.

Thanks for the reply.. Let's wait and see and hope it works out next time.

I had an early miscarriage at 4 weeks and 3 days, so I know how you feel. Really sorry for what you're going through..
For me, it took more than 4 weeks before I ovulated again. Got pregnant right away that cycle. So it can happen pretty quickly again, really. Strength and hopefully nice rising tests soon.

@Clautjuh, thanks for the reply. What would you advise, waiting until the first period or going for it right away? Did you end up getting pregnant? How many weeks are you at now?
  17. Moedertjuh #18

We just went for it. Once your body has ovulated again, it's ready for pregnancy. I'm now 25 weeks and 5 days. Of course, I didn't enjoy the miscarriage, but I always take it quite calmly. If something goes wrong this early, it really wasn't meant to be. I just did what felt right, and luckily, everything is going well now.

Just chiming in, I went through exactly the same thing. Early miscarriage at almost 5 weeks, and my tests looked exactly the same, so I immediately thought the same as BB.
My cycle lasted 35 days that month in the end because my period naturally didn't show up. We went for it right away the next round, and I also used ovulation tests and spotted a big positive even, but it depends on how long your cycle usually is. Mine always fluctuated between 30-33, so I had to test. I think I finally got it the round after that on cycle day 16 or 17. That round I didn't get pregnant, but the round after that I did! My body decided to skip a round itself.. fine! Now, as of Saturday, I'm 16 weeks pregnant.

So don't lose hope and just go for it again. Maybe it's an option to use ovulation tests this round in case your cycle is a bit off? Then you'll definitely know when your ovulation is. I always used the ones from Action, huge fan of those.

Just chiming in to join Clautjuh, I completely agree. I was really devastated too; I had even bought all sorts of things to surprise my partner, but unfortunately... That was quite a blow, but once I could think rationally, I realized I should be glad that my body rejected it so early and naturally, and that something might indeed have been wrong from the start.

You can imagine how much worse it must be if you're 20 weeks along and then have to lose your baby. Speaking from experience, I can only imagine that an early miscarriage is much worse... because you've carried it for so long, have a close bond, and already know the gender, etc. It really has form by then. With an early miscarriage, it's also painful, but it has less form than if you had been further along... At least, that's how I see it. I would be even more devastated if it happened now; I just can't see that coming.
