The tests aren't getting darker.

Saartje2014!
Hi ladies, quick question! I'm so nervous, my tests aren't showing up. They're not moving down either, but I'm now 4/5 weeks pregnant. Can anyone help me?! The photo with the digital Clearblue is from Saturday, and only the test from Kruitvat today.
Last Wednesday I tested positive for the first time.
It would be really nice if someone could help me out

Hey Saartje! I’d just go looking for a midwife and call to ask how it all works. You don’t have to say anything if things aren’t progressing yet hCG doubles roughly every 3 days but it’s different for everyone! Just get in touch with a midwife to ask how it all works.

That's so sweet of you! I'll do it this afternoon right away.

Saartje, my kv test was just as light while my cb test said I was 1-2 weeks along.
How many days before/after your due date are you now?

It all looks pretty positive, though. As already mentioned above, it also takes time for the hCG hormone to rise. Make an appointment with your midwife, and she can help you further. Onwards to the first ultrasound!

Wanted to post a photo but it went to my forum. Sweet that you replied, Kimberly. It makes me so insecure???? I'm now on day 6 post-NOD, and I've always had long cycles, so maybe that's the reason. The symptoms come and go, and it's only been that way. Since today, I've also had a lot of discharge. Hope everything's okay.

I only did the tests with the week indicator later on. First, I checked with the same brand of tests to see if they were getting darker. I tested with the sensitive test and those kept getting darker every day. The round ones didn’t do that, and unfortunately, that turned out to be an early miscarriage. I think every body is different, and literally every pregnancy is too. So maybe your hCG is rising a bit slower. Or maybe you’re a few days less along than you think. I hope you get some clarity soon!

Oh my goodness! Thanks for your reply, I certainly don't hope for a miscarriage. As long as I don't feel anything weird and I'm not losing blood, I have faith. I guess I just need to be patient, it's hard when you want something so badly ????????

No, indeed, and I’m definitely not saying this will turn into a miscarriage. Unfortunately, you can only wait patiently. It’s still a bit early for an ultrasound, but maybe you can get an appointment sooner.

Saartje, such a waste of money, girl. I totally get that you want to keep testing, but to be honest, it doesn't really help. Tomorrow you have an appointment with the VK, and that will give you clear answers anyway. So don't stress too much about it because your tests look super neat. You don't really have to struggle to see a second line. Good luck tomorrow and keep us posted?

I really have no idea... I'm really curious to see if they'll spot anything. Keep hoping, xx

Gotta wait until next Monday at 2pm, so bear with me for now, hehe. I know it's a shame to spend the money, but I really want some certainty. Though I now know from your messages that it won't be confirmed just because of that! Is it true that pregnancy symptoms can fluctuate? One time I have sore breasts, then the next time I don't.
Of course, I'll keep you updated x
  12. Faith1990 #13

Yes, this can definitely vary continuously, but it's about your symptoms!
  13. Orchidea #14

Oops, sorry. Totally confused, pregnancy dementia I guess..? Geez, you're so nervous, but hey, it's Monday again and you'll be glad to know a bit more, and surely you'll share some positive news with us!
  14. Moedertjuh #15

Just keep in mind that a GP can't give you any certainty right now either. That's only possible with an ultrasound. And you're still a bit too early for that. They can schedule one, but they prefer to do it from 6 weeks onwards.

I told myself I'd test again on Saturday and of course I'm hoping it's turned really dark, otherwise we'll see how it goes on Monday. Thanks for supporting me like this. How has your pregnancy been so far, Orchidea?!
  16. Saartje2014! started this #17

I did ask if they’d like to take a look, so she said she’d be happy to do that, but she wasn’t sure if you’d be able to see anything definite yet. Exciting...
    How’s your pregnancy going, clautjuh?
It’s so sweet that you’re thinking along with me, x

Thanks for your reply. I'm just scared because of the non-rising lines, which is why I'm also getting anxious about the symptoms. But it's going to be okay. Stay positive.

At 5 to 6 weeks, you can definitely already see something! But VK probably has several ways to find out if a little human is growing there.
My pregnancy has actually been pretty good, with a lot of complaints, and I had a bleed where I had to go to the hospital for a check-up at 10 PM.. luckily everything is fine with the little one, but I'm still glad I only have a few more weeks left!
  19. Moedertjuh #20

I thought you were still around 5 weeks. I understand they can see something, but you can't see the heart beating yet. That's why I suggest they wait until 6 weeks. If your pregnancy tests are positive, that's reason enough to assume you're pregnant. The only way to see if everything is okay is an ultrasound. I had a miscarriage last cycle and got an ultrasound this cycle at 5 weeks and 3/4 days due to some bleeding. They saw a gestational sac, but couldn't see the heartbeat clearly yet. A week and a half later, thankfully they could. My pregnancy is going well now. Few complaints and the baby is healthy. Good luck with your scan! If they look right away, I hope they see a nice little baby!
