Clothing choice

My four-year-old daughter already knows exactly what she wants in terms of clothes. Of course, Mom has the final say because it has to be a suitable combination.
We were at the store for a summer jacket. I looked at the girls' section, but no, the lady was completely crazy about a dark blue boys' jacket. She wanted this one! Well... what do you do then. On its own, a girl can wear the jacket too, I think, and it looks nice and cool on her. So we bought it, and daughter was thrilled. 'My jacket,' she always calls it cheerfully when we go out. I even sewed a little pink ribbon on the inside near the zipper and put a name label over the brand/size label.
Now everyone says, Oh, what a nice girls' jacket, and where did you buy it... hahaha
Have you ever bought clothes for a different gender than your child?

I don’t have kids yet, but we’re not going to do that because of religion. But I think my mom did it. I guess a lot of moms do—kids don’t have a clue that it’s for boys (at that age), and parents usually want to give their child what they want anyway...
