Who else is on ww after tp?

Hi everyone,
4 years ago I got pregnant via the ICSI process with our daughter who is now 2.5 years old.
Last Wednesday I had the egg retrieval for our second ICSI treatment for a little brother. Last Saturday we had the embryo transfer.
And now I'm in those awful two-week wait period.
Who else is still in their two-week wait? Maybe we can support each other through it. ????

    Hi,
I had my first IVF cycle last month! I had some overstimulation symptoms but felt well enough for a transfer, and the ultrasound and blood values were good, so we went ahead. I had the transfer on April 26th, so I’ve got one more week to wait. How are you doing? Do you know already? I had 34 eggs, 27 were fertilized, and in the end, 21 were frozen. How was it for you? And how many attempts did it take you to get pregnant last time?

    Cheers

Hi! Those awful two-week waits! Never fun. It's so nice that you already have a baby via ICSI. Just one more week for you. I'll be rooting for you!

Shootingstar, what a huge number of embryos!! There's bound to be something beautiful among them . Good luck to you too!

I have two kids from a previous marriage. Spontaneous. Now with my current partner, we've been trying for 3 years and have already been in the two-week wait for over a year. During my egg retrieval, endometriosis was diagnosed. My partner has reduced fertility. Plus, I'm turning 37 this month

We've already had two ICSI cycles. I have few eggs, so the cycles go by quickly. This month, a frozen embryo will be transferred if it thaws well. So the two-week waits will start here too. If it doesn't work out, we'll start ICSI 3.

    Hi C81,

Oh wow, that sounds really tough! Yeah, it's not normal to have that many eggs—it's so unfairly distributed. We've also been at it for over two years now and have done 6 IUI attempts and more. So this is actually the first time something has gone right! ;-)

Can they treat that endometriosis? Do you know how many sperm she has? Yeah, age is definitely a factor. I'm 33 and I hope I have enough eggs left for possibly a second child. (Well, first things first) I'm also afraid that in about 4 years I'll have very few eggs left. Then those cryos will have to thaw out well!

Sounds exciting! Hope they do thaw out well! Was that the only cryo they had? Were there more fertilized?

    Good luck!

    Cheers

Hi! Shootingstar, so far I've had 5 follicles with 5 eggs both times. This was with 300iu injections. The first time, 1 fresh embryo transfer and 2 frozen. The second time, 1 fresh embryo transfer and 1 frozen. With the first fresh embryo transfer, I had a biochemical pregnancy. My gynecologist said: you don't have many, but what you have is good because otherwise none would end up in the freezer.
How are you feeling? Any discomfort?
And mf85, how are you doing?

    Hi,

Okay, yes, 5 is actually pretty good, of course! Exciting to see if that last cryo thaws well! What is a biochemical pregnancy?

I feel absolutely nothing, so I really don't expect anything from it. I believe I should feel something if it were the case. I'm so focused on it, but I really can't notice anything—no sore breasts or nipples, no nausea, or anything else.

    Greetings!

Shootingstar, it can go either way. Not every woman feels anything. But I know it can be maddening!

A biochemical pregnancy means the embryo did implant for a brief moment. I still had 16 hCG in my blood after a whole week of bleeding. So there was implantation, but it didn't stick. They don't do anything about endometriosis. That can be bypassed with ICSI.

Are you going to test? Or are you waiting for the blood test results?

Oh! I just noticed that mf85's first post was a while ago . How are you doing?
  8. shootingstar #9

    Hi,

Okay, clear! Yeah, it's tricky—no symptoms means nothing to me. But yeah, I tested early, so a bit silly, but it's positive :-) I just can't believe it yet, so I want to wait until Thursday because that's when I'm supposed to test. Oops, haha. Couldn't wait anymore. I added an Eem photo somewhere but don't know where haha.

    Shootingstar, congratulations!!! Enjoy it, girl!
  10. shootingstar #11

Yeah, I don’t dare yet because it’s still before the official test phase. I don’t really feel like it’s right yet, I guess :-( I thought I’d be super happy, but it still feels so uncertain!

You're 11 days past your trigger shot. When was your egg retrieval? In principle, you count that day as ovulation. So you're pretty close to your due date. Hospitals always keep you longer because some women produce hCG more slowly. So I think I can really congratulate you!
  12. shootingstar #13

    Hi,
Yeah, I thought so too, 14 days after the puncture because that’s 14 days after ovulation. I get that the hospital is being cautious, but I think it’s fine :-)
Luckily, everything is still completely white down there haha

Then you should really go enjoy yourself.
