Pregnant or not?

Hi everyone! I've been having some symptoms that make me think I might be pregnant, but I'm doubting it because I'm on the pill. I've had nausea for weeks and I can't go to the toilet properly. I went to the doctor for this and got medication, but it doesn't help at all! The nausea comes with burping, and a whole lot of gas comes up almost to my mouth. I've also had cramps similar to period cramps and some light brown discharge (this was 2 weeks before my period). This only lasted a day; the doctor said it was nothing, but I still have my doubts. After that, my nipples became sore to the touch and my breasts felt bigger. I also had fatigue all day, but that's better now. Sometimes I get these "hot flashes" – suddenly super warm with red cheeks – which seems weird for an 18-year-old girl? I'm supposed to get my period this week, but I've never had these symptoms before. Does anyone know more about this?

Thanks in advance, greetings!

A pregnancy test can tell you more about that. Good luck!

A body can sometimes play tricks on you. There are countless symptoms, and all of them can have countless reasons why you're feeling this way right now. A pregnancy test is the only way to rule out whether or not you're pregnant. I wish you all the best!

Liske, that sounds really unpleasant. You've already seen a doctor, so definitely reach out to your midwife or the baby clinic to discuss the medication and symptoms. A pregnancy test from the drugstore or supermarket gives quick results, which will at least ease the tension. I'm curious to see what the result is.
