Hi anonymous,
I didn't realize there was already a 2nd page.
Yes, it's definitely frustrating. Hope 2018 will be our year!
If you have any questions about seeing the gynecologist, I'd be happy to answer them for you.
No, we're not alone, sometimes it feels that way. But people who take a bit longer don't get heard as quickly as those who are pregnant after 2 months. -

Monique, yes, I understand. It was like that for me too. Sometimes I even cried over it
but in the end, I let it go. My husband said, let it go, otherwise it'll become chronic. No matter how hard it is, let it go. It'll happen naturally. Sometimes you hear things like, "Look how young she is and she already has a kid." Or, "She just got married and is already pregnant." "When are you going to try for the first time?" People think something's wrong with you, which is why you're not pregnant.
My heart feels lighter. I had peace, and 3 months later, I got a positive test. -

I hear it every day ; And you guys don't have kids yet?
One day you can handle it really well & the next day it feels like your world is collapsing every time they ask the question ..
Here's a bit of an annoying situation, if we're not pregnant by June we'll be referred for IUI .. now I'm hearing that my gynecologist is pregnant & due in July which means I'll have to trust a new gynecologist again right?

Hi! Yeah, I'm trying to let go too. It's not really easy; usually, from the first day until the week of the due date, I can let go fairly well, but then on the waiting bench, I find it absolutely terrible.
Stff48, yeah, mostly from my in-laws. And then it's like, "Oh, come on, just have some kids, man." I've really become allergic to the fact that they say, "Just have kids." It's not about "Would you like kids?" It's about "Just have them," which isn't straightforward for everyone.
Oh yeah, that's annoying. Do you have a specific OB-GYN? That's nice. We have a team of 4, so I never know who I'll get beforehand. Can't you discuss having an appointment a month earlier? So they're there? Maybe at least request an introductory meeting with the new OB-GYN.

Monique, yes, I have one regular OB-GYN... I only changed in September because my previous one went into retirement... So I really felt good about my new OB-GYN, because she already talked about IUI in December if I'm not pregnant by early June... But now I'll have to put my trust in someone else's hands again, because who knows if she'll also go on maternity leave earlier?
I know I'm worrying about unnecessary things, but if you've been trying for so long, you'd want to have a good relationship with your treating doctor, I think? -

Yeah, I totally get that. It’s literally and figuratively exposing yourself every time. I hope you can build a good bond with the substitute gynecologist too! When we have to go again, I’ll definitely ask if I can have one fixed gynecologist instead of four who take turns. -

Monique, that's so annoying that you also have to lose so much weight. I find it pretty hard to lose weight. I don't snack anymore and I don't use refined sugars anymore. But it's sometimes pretty heavy, especially when they're eating ice cream here.
Hali, do I understand correctly that you're pregnant now?
What a hassle with those gynecologists. But I completely agree with your opinion that you should feel comfortable with your gyn. I don't have much trust in mine; she has a certain approach to meetings, and I don't really like that, so I think I'll go to another hospital once I've lost the weight. My mom says I don't need any help to get pregnant; she says I'll just get pregnant soon. I'd like to believe her, but I don't. The only reason she thinks I'll get pregnant quickly is because I already have kids. But well, I think past results don't guarantee future success. I'm not in my 20s anymore. -

Star, yes, losing weight is hard for me too. I'm doing it now with a dietitian, low-carb. My boyfriend tries to join me as much as possible, but he works 40 hours in a factory, so he naturally eats a lot more than me. It's tough for me when he eats a nice plate of pasta. I hope we manage to get it done the "normal" way this year and have a positive test in hand. -

I'm already a mom, haha! I have a little one who's 3 weeks old. I had to lose weight too, and I wouldn't get pregnant the normal way because of my husband's low sperm count and my weight. After two inseminations, I just got pregnant naturally. -
Ster #30
Yeah, I know that feeling so well when you have to watch. But it’s still every time a victory not to give in.
With that diet, you can eat until you’re no longer hungry, right? Vegetables, fruit, nuts, dairy, and meat, right? Can’t you have whole grain products or really minimal either?
Hali, wow, congratulations on your little one. What a beautiful story, it gives the citizen courage

Thank you so much, star. I didn’t go on a diet, I just got pregnant, so I wasn’t supposed to lose weight. I didn’t gain any weight during the pregnancy either, which also wasn’t supposed to happen. -

We're going for round 18 too and hope it'll be a success soon! We've been referred and both had our tests. Everything's fine with both of us, so we have to keep trying on our own. We're happy with the results but also really curious if we'll manage it ourselves. If not, we'll go back and get help. I've also been advised to lose some weight. I've already lost 15 kg, but lately I've been less motivated because of all this. They didn't tell me exactly how many kilos to lose, but they're looking at what's realistic. How are you all coping with everything? -

Hi Wonder, I hope round 18 is a hit for you too. How did you lose those 15 kg if I may ask? Any extra things that help besides healthy eating and more exercise?
I find it really tough, I got my period yesterday so that's quite disappointing again. Because I really felt like this time it could just be a hit. But well, I haven't had my period since last night so we're going to keep going for round 18.
I started my new job last week, so I'm trying to focus my thoughts on that and let it go somewhat. Although I think that's probably the joke of the century but we'll see. When is your due date, Wonder? Then I'll cheer for you. -
Ster #34
hey ladies,
I'm now 3 days overdue, when would you guys take a test? I don't really feel like taking one anymore after 17 months of negative news. -
proud_mommy started this #35
You could already test. The fear is indeed there. I hope you get a positive test this time. -

My oldest son came in with a live baby field mouse. He’s very lively, and my son and his aunt (who’s a farmer) made a plan to save him. They needed the pipette from my unused pregnancy test for that. Since I felt bad throwing the test away without using it, I took it and this is the result. I really didn’t expect it anymore, but I’m so happy

Thank you so much, ladies, I can't quite believe it yet. I've already told the whole family and a few friends. A bit early, but if things go wrong, I'll definitely need that support.
