Which fertility clinic / doctor and experiences

I myself went to the fertility clinic in Hengelo to try to get pregnant. After 4 IUI treatments with Clomid and Pregnyl, I was pregnant. They had also said that they would only try up to 6 IUIs, and if that didn't work, they'd look into an IVF process. If I hadn't gotten pregnant after the 4th attempt, they would have checked my fallopian tubes to see if they were blocked. Luckily, it turned out not to be necessary because I got pregnant at that point.

I was at Vivaneo in Leiderdorp. I found it pleasant because they monitor your ovulation closely and you can always ask questions. I also had an intake session with the doctor and psychologist before starting. They were always very kind.

But they didn’t mention that they only do 6 IUIs. You’re also only allowed to have 6 Clomid treatments (maybe even fewer at the highest dosage). This is actually stated in the Clomid leaflet too. It’s just because the medication itself can be harmful if used too much or something like that. Besides, there are other medications you need to inject, which they can switch to.

They told me they basically only do 6 IUIs. The reason they gave was that since they monitor ovulation and place the sperm at the right time in the right spot, it doesn't make sense to continue if you're not pregnant after 6 tries. That means something else is going on, and IVF might work better. I don't know what their policy would be if you do get pregnant but have a miscarriage.

You might be right about that. It's been a while since everything was told, so I don't remember everything so clearly anymore.
