Just to introduce myself...

Hi everyone,
I just signed up here and wanted to introduce myself.
I'm Danielle, 38 years old, living in Hoofddorp, and I'm single. Unfortunately, love hasn't worked out the way I'd hoped. But my desire to become a mother is strong.
After a conversation with my GP, I finally decided last year to register with the AMC to get pregnant as a single woman. At first, I was told the waiting list would be 1.5 years, but after a few months, I received an email inviting me to an information session. Since then, I've been going through the process to get pregnant.

So far, there have been 6 inseminations using a cup and without hormones, and last Wednesday, there was an insemination after stimulation with hormones.
I find it all incredibly exciting and hope that this time it will finally work out to get pregnant.
I hope to find people here who are on the same journey and can share experiences.

Who knows, maybe we'll meet soon!
Love,
Danielle

What a special story! It's good to read that you've made such a beautiful decision so consciously!! Maybe a silly question, but do you know, for example, whose sperm was used? Can you choose that yourself?
Which hormones are you getting now to stimulate it? Is this a different path than if you were doing it with a partner?

Wow, that's incredibly brave of you to go for it as a single mom! I also hope for you that a pregnancy follows soon.

    Welcome to Brabbels.

    Greetings,
    Nathalie
