Clomid, side effects?

Hi everyone, I'm new to this forum. In July (2017) I stopped taking the pill. Since then, I've had a very irregular cycle. I never had this before. My GP says this is normal and doesn't want to investigate further. Because I became really, really unsure, I went to a clinic in Arnhem (Rietgrachtkliniek) where I was helped wonderfully. At least, I'm still not free from my irregular cycle, but the doctor listened extensively, did an ultrasound, and explained things. PCOS was diagnosed, and she gave me all sorts of advice that might help me get a regular cycle again. Initially, she recommends that I lose some weight (since I'm actually a bit overweight ). She mentioned that hospitals often start with Clomid. I'm not sure yet if I really want to go through a hospital trajectory, and I'm not such a fan of medication either. I'd love to hear your experiences and especially if you had any side effects.

    My side effects:
According to my husband, I get quite quickly irritated/hormonally emotional. I didn't notice it as much myself or didn't realize it at all .
I did feel my ovulation, with real stabbing pains and tender breasts.

    Hi Madelief,
I'm using the highest dose of Clomid, 150 mg. The side effects aren't too bad actually, I'm just a bit more tired.
So far so good, knock on wood. Although my husband says I'm a bit more irritable, but I don't really mind haha. Good luck with everything!
