Diastasis recti
TheedoosGuest ·
Hi everyone,
9 months ago, I gave birth to a beautiful girl.
I’m enjoying it fully, but there are moments when it doesn’t feel that way.
I have diastasis from the pregnancy (huge belly) – your abdominal muscles stretch apart during pregnancy to make room for the baby. Afterward, they should knit back together.
Unfortunately, that hasn’t happened for me yet, which leads to back pain, fatigue, a gurgly tummy, and not-so-nice bowel movements.
But even lifting my little girl or giving her a kiss when she’s in her crib causes pain. This makes me sad.
My partner doesn’t show much understanding; I do everything. So from his perspective, it probably seems like it’s not that bad.
I’ve already seen two physiotherapists. My GP says healing can take up to a year.
Does anyone have experience or tips???
They’re all welcome.
