Low baby
MamainjanuariGuest ·
Hi everyone,
I have a quick question. I'm currently 33+6 weeks pregnant. I've had a low-set belly since I first started showing. (I'm a bit insecure about it.)
Our baby's head circumference was measured at the 19th percentile, abdominal circumference at the 3rd percentile, and femur length at the 4th percentile at around 32 weeks.
Because of this, I was referred to an obstetrician, who thankfully found that she's a bit bigger now, but still around the 9th/10th percentile. So I need to stay under the obstetrician's care.
Today I visited my midwife, as she wanted to check on everything. She felt my belly and noticed that our little girl only uses the lower part of my belly. The upper part of the uterus is, so to speak, "empty." I hardly ever feel her higher than my navel.
My question is: could this be harmful, and could it have caused the growth restriction? I realize I'm probably worrying too much because of the news, so I'm looking for someone with similar experience or just some reassurance.
Thanks in advance.
