Navel suddenly deeper

Hi everyone,
I woke up this morning and my belly already felt different. I got up to go shower and looked in the mirror: my belly button, which had been getting flatter and flatter, suddenly became even deeper and wider than usual!
Since we were told our little girl has a growth delay of 3 weeks, I’m starting to worry again.
Does anyone know what this could be?
Oh, and I’m now 33+5 weeks pregnant.
Greetings

Your baby might have shifted position, which can change the pressure on your belly. It doesn't sound too strange to me that your belly might suddenly look different overnight.

Yeah, I hadn't experienced it yet and it's my first baby, so that's why. I was indeed already thinking that maybe the baby had changed position, but then I start worrying about it again. She had been perfectly positioned since 23 weeks.

As long as your baby hasn't dropped yet, they can still move around in all directions. Sometimes you can even feel nauseous towards the end because it can be quite painful since everything is so cramped in there.

Okay, thank you! I feel a bit reassured now and will have a growth ultrasound on Monday. I'm curious to see how the baby has positioned itself. Because I can't figure it out myself, haha!

If you feel a hard bump, it’s the head, and if you feel a soft bump, it’s the bottom. It’s easiest to compare if you’ve found both ends. Otherwise, you can ask your midwife if she can show you how your baby is positioned. The further along in your pregnancy, the easier that is. Enjoy the growth scan later!

I could only feel the back. On one side of the belly, the baby was with its back there, and the other side was empty. Tough, huh, that you can't look inside your belly..
