Just introducing myself.

Hi everyone,

I'm Simone, 31. I studied animal care management and childcare (mainly toddler playgroups).
Currently, I work as a sales assistant in a pet shop.

My partner and I don't want to wait too much longer to start having kids.
I hope to learn/read a lot here and refresh my memory a bit. This will be our first baby, so all advice and tips are welcome.

    Hi Floyd,
    Quick question: what does "nod" mean?
    Also, any tips/advice for when you're pregnant and the baby is just born?

    I think my care during my upcoming pregnancy will be a bit different from most women. I have a blood clot in my left leg. We're going to the doctor on Friday for more info.

    Nod is Niet Ongesteld day. Actually, it's the day in your cycle when you normally expect your period and now you're hoping it doesn't come.
    Aha, I'm curious how the GP can help you with that. Always smart to go see them first.

    Aha, I know that too
    I stopped the pill on July 31st this year. And the last few times I always got my period every 4 weeks. I should have gotten it last Friday, but so far it hasn't come yet. I've already done 2 tests and both were negative. I'll also show them to my GP.
