Hi Lola.. I don't know the day either. I called my GP after 4 months, told her my story, and she said a lot of women have this issue, so I assumed it was fine. But when I reached 6 months with no period, I called again, made an appointment, and the doctor told me the same thing: she referred me to a gynecologist!! I had to wait another 2 months; apparently, it can take 6 to 12 months for your period to return... Pfff, it's tough when you want something but can't because of that damn missed period. But after finally getting my period after 7 months of waiting (I was going crazy), we immediately started trying. So I don't know my exact cycle, but we'll just wait and see. I do have stomach cramps, heartburn, and waves of nausea, but they always come in the evening!! Long story short, hihi. How are things with you guys? -

pfff, waiting feels so long..
I don't know exactly when my period is due, but I really want to take a test because I'm already on day 31 of my cycle! I do have pain lower in my belly and sometimes, in waves, a slight nauseous feeling and a bit dizzy.
?? When should I test? I'm afraid of being disappointed. -

And have you tried Carrie yet?
With our first two pregnancies, it took half a year, but with the last two, it happened right away.
Hopefully, you'll get pregnant quickly too. -

It's all so exciting... I stopped the pill in September... had one period after a 26-day cycle... now on the second round and if it's 26 days again, I should get my period on Sunday... or I won't... lots of rumbling in my tummy... discharge... flashes of nausea... really tired and mood swings... hmm, exciting -

I got my period for the last time on Oct 1st.
After that, nothing... hmm, took 2 tests, both negative.
Such a dilemma with this cycle because that was my first period again after waiting so long, and now I don't know anymore either.
It's still too early to test, I'm on day 44!!
....? It's making me so discouraged!
Has anyone else experienced the same? -
Marie #26
hi renske
yes indeed it took 7 months after stopping the pill before I actually got my period again
it's a disaster!! I wasn't really regular before either but my highest cycle was 36 days..
and I never felt ovulation, never ever! At least... never really paid attention
I've tested 3 times this month, always negative, this morning too!! sniffsniff hope that's not the case, I don't feel pregnant either..<
it doesn't make me happy...
I've decided to go see the doctor if I still don't get my period by the end of the weekend, I'm on day 48 now...?!
greetings -

That just makes you feel so discouraged! Do you feel like something is already happening, or do you expect to go to the doctor after the weekend? How long have you been on the pill? 36 days is manageable, but this is really tough! -

I do have stomach ache and a mega bloated belly, it's just in the way!! And pimples! I don't know what to do with them. H.A says it's normal pffff .. That's what I have to deal with! -

Sorry, something went wrong. The last anonymous post was from my friend Marie. -

I've been on the pill for 6 or 7 years, by the way. -
Renske #31
Then you might only get your period twice the whole year.. But two chances to get pregnant or maybe none at all
how can he say just wait calmly?! That doesn't help at all! It's just not normal! -

Ugh, I'm not feeling great about this either! I also don't really know what else I should do..! ? I'll just wait this month and if needed, I'll call again. Greetings! -

Stopped the pill at the end of February. My period came right after the pill pack next month, but it was very light bleeding, actually only 2-3 days. Still, I had severe cramps. Now I should have gotten my period already since Friday, but today, Sunday, I only have brown discharge. Emotional mood swings, etc. Tests are negative. -

hey everyone!
my husband and I are both 26 and have also decided to take this step.
I stopped the pill in March so my own hormones could normalize, and this month is the first attempt. I had my ovulation last week, so now it's just waiting... so exciting!
I really can't think of anything else haha.
I wish everyone a quick positive pregnancy test!
It's really nice to read all this! -

Hi, we also started last month. We've been together for almost 6 years now, and finally my boyfriend is ready to go for it too (he's younger, 27, and I'm 30). We're currently in our second round, but I can hardly wait anymore! I've found out that my ovulation happens quite late (day 19) in a 28-day cycle. Do others here experience this too? -

I've stopped using NuvaRing and it's been my first cycle since. I'm not sure when my period is due, but I think it'll be in about 5 days. I've been on the pill/NuvaRing since I was 14 and I'm now 25. I've already had sore breasts for a week, a bloated feeling in my stomach, and occasional mild stomach pain. I'm so curious. Could I be pregnant, or is this really just from stopping contraception?? -

hello ladies,
nice to be able to share our moments together!
it's an exciting time!! we're trying for our 1st baby
we're currently in round 2, I was supposed to get my period last Tuesday actually.. so no pills, so naturally.. and 3 days later (last Friday) I got my period for the first time in years naturally.. good sign that my body picked it up so quickly after stopping the pill! (I've also read that it can take months for your period to return naturally, so I was quite happy about that) I said then.. it's a blessing in disguise that I got my period.. but now it's easy to calculate when my fertile days are!
I hope for the women who have already had their fertile day, that they can jump for joy soon!
we unfortunately have to wait a bit longer! hihi it usually happens when you least expect it or don't expect to get pregnant! lots of luck ladies!!
