First round for a first baby!

Hi everyone!

My partner and I have been together for eleven years, and we moved into our new house a few months ago! We're totally ready for kids. We actually didn't talk about it much, but since our holiday in June this year, it turned out we were both already thinking about it a lot, so we decided to go for it!

I stopped the pill in July; I'd been on it for eleven years. We waited for my cycle to return (29 days) and then went for it!

So my first missed period day is today, and so far so good, no sign of a period yet! What do you think, when would be a good time to take a test? I know the chances are slim that I'd be pregnant from the first try, but I've been thinking about it way more than I expected!

Is anyone else just starting out trying for their first baby??

    Nice that you're going for it... Exciting now that your period is late, but you've only had one cycle? I had 28-day cycles for the first 6 months, but then they got longer 3 times, so maybe it'll come yet. I'd wait until the weekend! I messed up the first two tests too because I was too curious... Have you had any symptoms? Doesn't have to be the case though....

    We got pregnant on our second try... But I haven't been on the pill since January... First, I was off the pill for half a year.

    Yeah, I also read online that it's better to wait a bit first, but I'm 27 and my boyfriend is a few years older, so we decided to just go for it.

    I've been feeling a bit tired lately, dealing with a lot of pimples (really not fun), and oily hair, but I think that's because I stopped the pill. I also had one day of some spotting this cycle, but otherwise everything has gone smoothly.

    I was thinking my cycle might be a bit longer this month, so I wasn't planning to buy a test tomorrow or anything, but I am curious though!! My boyfriend is away for work and won't be back until the end of the week. If I haven't had my period by then, maybe we can do a test when he's home too. We'll see!

    We got pregnant in the second round, so it can happen really fast, girl!! It’s exciting! Detoxing isn’t really my thing, I don’t believe in that. Wishing you lots of success and good luck, it could happen on the first try!!

    Here it was the 2nd month already! So it can really happen very quickly!! I'll cheer for you My advice is; if you've had your period, wait a few days and then test

    I've actually become too curious by now! I went to get a test at Kruidvat and tomorrow morning I'll take the first test!! I'm so curious!

    It can always happen We also got pregnant in the 2nd round! Stopped the pill on May 18 and tested positive on Sept 3

    We also got pregnant in the first round.
    Had the IUD removed in June, still took the pill for a few weeks because of a vacation.
    Then had our first (heavy) period in August after all the contraception, and tested positive in September!
    Didn’t know how long my cycle would be at that point, but at some point my breasts started feeling sore—that’s how I knew. Took a test right away but it was negative, then another negative, and a week later it was positive!

    I'm 28 years old and have been with my boyfriend for 6 years. I stopped taking the pill on September 25th and haven't been able to think of anything else since

    and only got my period again this month
    we're also trying to get pregnant, it's only been the first few rounds
    but it's really a tense time
    are you guys also having a lot of trouble getting pregnant
