Stomach ache but no period

Hi,
I've been having period-like cramps for about a week and a half, sharp pains in my groin, waves of nausea, and cravings for different foods. I'm one day late today. Does anyone else experience this? When should I take a test?

    You can test today, Anna!
Let me know a bit :-)

Okay, I'll take another test then! I tested 3 days ago, negative, but it might have been too early. I'm aware that your body can play tricks on you... but I can't explain the cramps..

Cramps can really be normal, okay! A lot is happening in your uterus, both during pregnancy and during a period. It could indeed have been early; if you're pregnant, your hCG levels might have risen by now.

I'm about to run to Kruidvat, any tips for a good test? Should I get the Clearblue right away or the Kruidvat one? Do you recommend testing right now or waiting until tomorrow morning with first morning urine?

By the way, I did have some spotting on Sept 18 for about 3 days. No cramps, no discomfort at all, just light bright red bleeding. Could this affect my period too?

Hmm, maybe your intuition? Or ovulation?
Kruidvat tests are good! I got the ones with a plus sign... not the ones with pipettes.

The Kruidvat tests are indeed very reliable and much cheaper You can test right away, but it's best not to drink anything for about an hour beforehand. Good luck!

I'm about to take the test, I'm really nervous, scared of a negative result... I'll keep you posted!

I just tested, totally negative, no faint line at all. Not so upset that the test is negative, more upset that my body is messing with me! Still have that nagging feeling, so I'm curious when my period will start...

If you don't get your period in a few days, maybe test again? With me, it was also only clear positive 3-4 days after NOD. Two days after NOD, there was a very, very faint line that I only noticed a few hours after the test.

I always used to test only when I was a few days late. Then I’d only get a very faint line. But this first round, my period came exactly two weeks after ovulation. The real cramps followed quickly. They’re always a bit more intense without the pill, I think. But it could still go either way. I’d wait a few more days to test, unless my period starts.

I'm waiting (im)patiently! By the way, I did have an early miscarriage in June. Tested 4 days after my period was very light, and a week later it unfortunately went wrong. I just had the feeling that it wasn't going to happen, and besides those stupid cramps, I didn't have any other symptoms...

Yeah, the tricky part is that our bodies can sometimes play tricks on us. I think our mindset and our bodies really influence each other.
I totally get your uncertainty right now. These days, I only cautiously cheer when I’m lucky enough to see a little heartbeat on the ultrasound!
So whatever it turns out to be, just have a bit of patience

And those cramps can mean anything, your uterus is definitely up to something somewhere

Thank you so much, Niveamam! That's super nice for you that you're pregnant! Did you already have symptoms?
  16. Niveamam #17

    - headache
    - period pain
    - soo sleepy
    :-)
I actually always have the first two around my ovulation and period.
Right now I'm really struggling with hair loss, oily skin and pimples :/ but also annoying period 'pain'.
    Not sure if that's 'ok'..
    We'll see

@niveamam I recognize all your symptoms except for the little bumps, and since we're about at the same stage, I'd say this is normal so don't worry! I also have some menstrual-like pain/cramps.. I didn't have that with my previous pregnancy; I felt absolutely nothing during the first few months. When is your first ultrasound?

My previous pregnancy also felt incredibly like an impending period, with cramps and waves throughout the whole day, so it probably comes with the territory! Exciting, niveamam, I hope you get to hear a beautiful little heartbeat beating soon??.

I woke up today again with period cramps, I thought, well, it'll probably be like this now, but still nothing to report. I now have a sort of pulling sensation all over my belly... I'm 2 days late today, but I'm going to wait it out anyway, don't want another negative test again. I tested my previous pregnancy with a Kruidvat test with a + sign, it showed very faintly that I was pregnant. Yesterday I tested with a Kruidvat 2v5 and it was completely white unfortunately.. Pff, this makes you so insecure, seriously...

Last night I also dreamed that I tested positive. I think I'm thinking about it too much...
