Am I gaining too much weight?

Hi Mamas!
I'm currently 26 weeks pregnant and have gained over 10 kilos (!), which is my first pregnancy. I keep hearing that I'm already quite big for someone at 26 weeks. It makes me feel really insecure, and I often get asked if it's twins or if I'm already close to my due date. How much weight have you all gained, and do you recognize these comments? I also find it hard to avoid eating too much and stop snacking. Does anyone have tips on how to avoid gaining too much weight?

I know it well too! For my first pregnancy, now my little boy is already 6 weeks old. I constantly heard things like "be sure there aren't two of them" and people I didn't even know would say something like "nice, a twin is coming up" very seriously... I had a pretty flat belly before my pregnancy; in the end, I weighed 82 kg (I was 59 kg before). Pretty intense because I'm only 1.64 m tall. My tip: as long as you feel good, keep moving, even if it's just two laps with the dog. If you get pelvic instability like I did, moving really hurts, so try to keep it up now.

    Hi!

I'm 38 weeks now and have gained 18.5 kg. I've also gotten those comments, and it's not nice at all!
I have to say though that in the beginning the kilos flew on, and towards the end it was much more steady...
I was also quite underweight when I got pregnant.
But try not to focus on it. As long as your baby is healthy!

    Cheers!

Hi! Could it be that you're holding onto water weight? People aren't very tactful, are they!???? If you know that you don't snack too much and try to eat healthily, there's not much more you can do. People always want to have something to say,...
