I'm going for a hospital birth, it gives me a bit of a safer feeling.

I always really wanted to give birth in the hospital. Why? Because if something happens during or after the birth, you're already in good hands and don't have to deal with an ambulance and all that hassle to get to the hospital. If it happens after the birth, it's even worse: your husband and baby stay home while you go to the hospital That didn't appeal to me at all, so I decided on the hospital. But indeed, if there's no medical reason to give birth in the hospital, it's not covered by insurance. Now I have top-tier insurance, so part of it is covered, but by no means all of it. So I started thinking about giving birth at home instead. I've come to see the advantages, especially through stories from people who gave birth at home. It's nice to be at home, in your own environment. I've gotten used to the idea of giving birth at home for a while now, and I actually think it's even better that I made that decision!! I now see a lot more advantages to giving birth at home and disadvantages to giving birth in the hospital, hihi. Just looking into something a bit more can really make a difference.

The first time I wanted to give birth at home (6 years ago) but that didn't work out, so after 10 hours of struggling, I was sent to the hospital... This time around, I'm automatically going to give birth in the hospital due to the prolonged and difficult delivery last time... It's true that if you choose to do it yourself, you have to pay for it... I thought it would be around 700 euros pfff

I have to give birth in the hospital.
Because if I give birth, I'll be 40 and only have one kidney.

If that wasn't the case, I would have wanted to give birth in the hospital anyway.
