21 weeks pregnant HELP!! Heart defect?

Hi mamas and soon-to-be mamas!! I had my 21-week scan last week and they said everything was fine, weight etc. But the gynecologist noticed something with the baby's heart. She couldn't see it clearly and mentioned something about a heart defect, and that they'd send us on for peace of mind. But she said not to worry. We'd already done a syndrome test—not a NIPT—but the result was positive. The appointment isn't for another 3 weeks, and I'm already worried. Are there any mamas here with experience? We're having a boy, and it doesn't matter to us as long as he's healthy. Thank you!!

You can't just wait until the detailed ultrasound. They can see and test a lot, but not everything.
With my daughter, they thought on the ultrasound that something in her brain wasn't developing well enough at the 20-week scan, but at the second ultrasound a week later, everything turned out to be fine and she was declared healthy, as far as could be assessed, of course. Now she's 9 months old and developing well.
The downside of all these tests is that they sometimes worry you unnecessarily because there's a margin of error.
On the other hand, it does mean you're prepared or can make other choices if something really is wrong.

Then it's indeed waiting and hoping that everything goes well. Thank you!!

Can't you ask if you can come in earlier because you're so worried?
