Ladies, quick question. Has anyone of you already gotten stretch marks? If so, at which week did they appear?

    @Katie,

They were already there from previous pregnancies, so I can't tell you which week..

Yep, I had it here too! But I already had it because of previous weight issues.

Already here for the pregnancy: from a previous pregnancy and being overweight.

    Hi Katie,
I didn’t have any issues with this during my first pregnancy at all.
During my second pregnancy, the “ladders” appeared in my belly 2 days before my delivery That was at 36w5d.
I still remember it clearly because in the morning there was nothing visible, and my partner noticed in the evening that there were ladders on my tights... except I wasn’t wearing tights :s hahaha

I had absolutely nothing at 27 weeks, and then one day later, suddenly there were like 10 stretch marks! I'm trying to rub on cream, but it doesn't help! I have Etos Mama Cream and Bio-Oil, but little to no result.

    Hi Katie,
I’m 26 weeks pregnant this week and so far, no stretch marks in sight.
I did start early though, applying once a day: Weleda oil, I think around 2 or 3 months.
Now I usually apply it twice a day: in the morning and in the evening.
We’ll see if I end up avoiding stretch marks or not...

I'm 28 weeks now, and I'm starting to feel pretty full! I got my first stretch marks really quickly and unexpectedly—I noticed them after showering at around 15 weeks, I think. Since then, more have been slowly showing up. I'm applying pregnancy oil 2-3 times a day, but it doesn't prevent the stretch marks, though it does soften them... I guess some people just have bad luck.

I also hope I get spared from this x;-) I'm curious... After 2 pregnancies, still no single line...
I used Zwitsall belly balm back then, now again... Whether it really helps, no idea,,, it smells delicious just by itself haha

Hi, I'm also 33 weeks pregnant now, this is my third pregnancy. Luckily, I don't have any stretch marks on my body. I think it just varies from woman to woman. I've never used any creams either, so yeah... For those who do have them, just try to moisturize well and don't forget that they'll later be a reminder of the little miracles you've brought into the world. Once your miracle is here, I think it'll matter very little whether you have stretch marks or not. Greetings.

Hi there! I'm 27 weeks now, and when I got out of the shower this morning, I suddenly noticed one on my side that was really bright in color. A few hours later, it was less noticeable than right after the shower. I hope it doesn't get any more.

Do you have them yourself, Katie?

    Love, Wendy

With the first pregnancy, I didn’t have much trouble with it. With the second one, it started pretty quickly (second trimester?) on my thighs and belly.

I have an easy talk, had already stripes and everything that comes now: let it come, just like Aicha says!
I never made myself so worried about it, not even the first time and then I was 24.
But I understand that it can be frustrating when you smear yourself all over and suddenly it's there.
I smear myself every day after showering completely with sometimes (baby) oil or other lotion.
Just because it feels good to take care of myself, it can't be prevented anymore.

Now 32 weeks, no stretch marks yet, and haven't even used any cream..

hi i already had stretch marks in my first pregnancy but i don't mind them they just remind me of those beautiful times when i was still pregnant i didn't do anything about them at all but i also think no matter how big your belly gets you can still get stretch marks and it's also because your belly stretches

So, I'm now a solid 35 weeks pregnant and still no stretch marks to be seen on my round belly... though they are on my breasts, well, they've suddenly grown to 2 cup sizes... You get stretch marks because your skin suddenly stretches way too much, so to speak, there's pressure on your skin and it doesn't have time to adjust...
I'm curious if I'll get them later, because some women really only get them at the very end...
  16. Caroline #17

Dreams can come true: Treasure that smooth, round belly well! I'm a bit jealous of all those beautiful smooth-belly photos you see everywhere. I do have photos of my belly, but they're really not nice to look at.. So for me, only photos WITH my clothes on .

I didn't think the stretch marks were so bad two months ago, but now I really start staring at them with wide eyes when I look in the mirror! So many and so ugly, brrr.. Some women really have bad luck! (Smearing doesn't help me at all, it only relieves the pain) I hope my belly will regain its shape after giving birth. I don't think the scars are such a big deal, but it would be very sad if my belly remained a flabby one forever..

We'll see! A few more weeks and our little girl will be here!
  17. Mommy-Of-Nyana #18

    @caroline,
yes, I definitely cherish it I myself never used any cream...
just oil in the bath so that also softens the skin but I did that before my pregnancy too so.. oh, I think pregnant bellies with and without stretch marks are both beautiful!! because every pregnancy belly is gorgeous!! so you shouldn't feel ashamed of your round belly...

I also hope my belly will get its shape back after giving birth I used to be quite flat with a very firm, tight belly... so I'd really find it a pity to end up with a flabby little tummy hihi...
What I do have issues with is my hips actually. I was very slim and didn't really have wide hips, and now they've spread out a bit. I can still fit into my old jeans etc., but there are 4 purple stripes of about 4 cm on each knee, so it's not too bad, I think. I find the stretch marks on my breasts much worse than on my hips, which is weird really... but yeah, it's all part of it, right

Yes, you can enjoy the countdown too hihi
We're also counting down here until our little girl arrives

Have lots of fun with the pregnancy!! And don't worry about your stretch marks, every pregnant belly is beautiful!! With or without stretch marks!!!
  18. Shana #19

It's a huge burden, not something you can just do. Luckily, it's for a good cause.
  19. Cin #20

With my previous 2 pregnancies, no stretch marks at all :-) Now 30 weeks pregnant with the 3rd and (still) no stretch marks...
