Any experience with Clomid in later rounds and being overdue?

Hi everyone,

I’d love to hear some experiences from other women regarding Clomid. After trying for a really long time to get pregnant, I’ve had check-ups at the hospital, and everything is fine. My partner’s sperm is top quality, and there’s nothing wrong with me, yet it just isn’t working out. I’m now on my 3rd round of Clomid.

Round 1: I had a 29-day cycle. Ultrasounds showed 2 beautiful follicles that ruptured, and my LH surge lasted 14 days.
Round 2: Same thing, but with a 30-day cycle. Again, 2 follicles, LH surge for 14 days, and a positive ovulation test.
Round 3: I’m not sure exactly when my egg was released, but probably on Wednesday, June 14th (day 17), because my temperature rose the next day. That would mean I should have a 31-day cycle this month. However, today is cycle day 36, and still nothing. No positive test, but I’m not period either. This is quite frustrating. I’ve been trying for a long time, but I’ve never been this late or even close to being late. Also, my ovulation really wasn’t late, because I had a high temperature all month long, and since June 15th it’s been high.

Now, to the point: Have multiple women had this happen after using Clomid and turned out to be pregnant? Or is it more likely that I’ll get my period late and have a huge LH spike, which doesn’t seem logical to me? I read online that many women test positive late.

So I’m curious about your experiences with Clomid.

Thanks in advance.
