Hi,
I've been carrying around a question for a while. On May 11th, I had a GIS ultrasound. That's an ultrasound where a gel-like fluid that lights up is injected into the uterus. This is so the sonographer can see if there are any fibroids or other obstacles in the way of your uterus. I had to do this on the advice of my gynecologist because I've had two miscarriages behind me. Apparently, it's a standard procedure to do some tests after multiple miscarriages. Totally fine by me.
Now comes my question. Since that ultrasound, I've been bleeding every day, for 4 weeks now. I have waves of cramps that are more intense than my menstrual cramps. Yesterday, they did another regular ultrasound and my uterus looked fine. I was told that my hormones are out of whack and that if it's still like this in a month, I should call again.
I can kind of push it aside, but I also don't want to make more of it than it probably is. Are there other women who have experience with this or have had a GIS ultrasound?
Thanks in advance for your attention.
