special ultrasound - open back

Vanny
Hi everyone,
I'm 22 weeks pregnant today, and around 17 weeks, a blood test showed an elevated AFP level, which increases the risk of spina bifida.
I had a special, detailed ultrasound at UZ Leuven to investigate further, and nothing abnormal was found.
Even at the 20-week ultrasound with my gynecologist, everything looked completely normal.
Tomorrow I have another appointment at UZ, just for a check-up, to be sure.
We're assuming everything is fine with our baby, but it's always nice to hear from others who've been in the same situation.
Are there any women who've had a similar experience?

Hi Vanessa, I really think everything will be fine, girl. UZ Leuven isn't just any hospital, you know. Keep your faith.
I had a puncture myself, I know how it feels. The uncertainty is gone for me.
    So the stress has lifted.
If you want to talk, we're here to listen.
    Love, Tammi

No experience here, but I wish you lots of strength and I'm rooting for you that everything is still good on this ultrasound too!
