    Hi girls,
I had such a weird and real dream about my pregnancy last night... it felt so real! I got up and did an early test!... It was negative! I was and still am convinced that my body is different than usual! Especially my breasts show a clear difference, but well.. Since I also have to get up at least 5 times a night to pee, I don't know if my morning urine is strong enough? Tomorrow is my period... I hope it doesn't come, of course.
But I'm not going to test early anymore... I'm a bit sad...
Love, Lynn.. Thumbs up for you all

If you're a few days overdue and still have pregnancy symptoms, you can also ask your GP for a blood test. I read a lot about the Kruidvat tests, and as long as the red devils aren't there yet, there's hope. I'm rooting for you!

    @Lynn,
Too bad if that's not the case, but hopefully you just tested too early..

    @Ikke,

If I were you, I wouldn't test. Be patient and wait, although that's really, really, really hard, I know..

Good luck and hopefully your period will be late.. and you're pregnant...

    Love, Ju

    Hi Lynn,

Your story sounds pretty much like mine (from before I got pregnant).

But over the years I’ve learned to know my body, meaning I knew the symptoms of period pain very well. I’ve had bad PMS since I was a teenager. What I mean is, you wrote that there’s a difference in your breasts; for me, my breasts swell every time I get my period! But it was different for me too! I couldn’t even wear a bra anymore! The pain was so bad, it felt like I had cactus needles on my breasts! I knew something wasn’t right, so I did a test for myself (first a blood test because my gynecologist asked for it), which was negative, and a few days later I did urine tests (about 8 of them, all positive). Then I got a call from the doctor saying unfortunately I wasn’t pregnant. I asked how, since my tests were positive, but she said that because there were 3 days between them, the hormone levels had risen! So she advised me to wait a bit. Every woman is different; some have more hormones than others. I have a friend who didn’t have enough hormones and she was already 12 weeks along but the tests were always negative!!!

Let us know when the time comes.

Good luck, girl and to the rest of the future moms too!

As I said before, early tests aren't everything. I had that too, I just had the feeling I was pregnant, my body felt different.
Early tests were 3x negative. A few days after my missed period, I tested negative first with a cheap test, and then suddenly positive with a Clear Blue digital

    I'm rooting for you

    Hi Lynn,
I still haven't taken a test yet, but I've been needing to pee more often and I've been having vague cramps on the left side of my lower abdomen.
    I'm 26, and you?

    Cheers,
    L

    Hi ladies,
I heard that the fewer symptoms you have, the less pregnancy hormone is in your blood, making it harder to detect. Could that explain the negative tests even though you were pregnant?

    Hi Ju,

It's so nice that you're taking the time to reply to my question. Unfortunately, I haven't had many responses yet.

But I think I'll just wait a bit longer before testing. My period has been gone for two days now, so I'll wait another three weeks and see if my period comes then.

I hope it doesn't, but it's okay. If it does happen, we'll just cheerfully move on to the next round, haha. I find it all quite nerve-wracking.

Did your pregnancy go well too?

    Love,

    @Ikke,
The best thing to do if you want more responses is to start your own topic. Then the replies will be focused just on you. That's the advice I can give you. And you can add me as a friend after you sign up on the site :-)

    My pregnancy is going well...
Well, good luck to you too, and hopefully you'll get pregnant soon.

    Love, Ju

Hey Lynn, that's really disappointing... But stay strong! I've also been feeling some weird twinges since Monday. It's never normal for my period... The pain only really starts once I see that I'm menstruating... I'm really going to wait a bit before testing. So tempting.

Lynn, that's so disappointing... But keep your chin up!
Nothing here either, but I'm already feeling it a lot. Normally never...
  15. Mummie #35

    Hi Nicky,
I also usually get cramps once I'm already on my period.
If you test positive, is it common to take a second test, or go straight to the gynecologist?
In Belgium, I think most women go directly to the gynecologist after a positive test.

    Best,
    L
  16. B #36

You can do a second test here just to be sure. Call your midwife, but they'll only make an appointment at 9 weeks, for the dating scan... if I'm not mistaken. Of course, in case of uncertainty, it can be earlier... The GP might, but doesn't have to... Maybe do a second test there just to be sure?

    Hi Naimagen...
Thanks for your reply! It's true that every woman is different, and you do hear more often from women who test negative but are still pregnant! Maybe I need to get used to my body again. The IUD was just removed, so maybe my body feels different now without all those hormones...
As long as I haven't had my period, there's still a chance, and otherwise, we'll move on to the next round

    Thanks, girl...
    How's your pregnancy going?

  19. Mummie #39

    Hi Nicky,
Thanks for the info. In Belgium, you can go straight to the OB/GYN after a positive test, and then every 3 months, I believe.
The GP doesn't have much say in this and usually refers you directly.

    Cheers

Thank you so much! I just have to wait and see!
PS I was still looking for your birth plan... I only found a birth plan approved by the gynecologist. This isn't what you meant, right?
    Love
