Hi ladies!
I'm just following along on the forum. I've also started testing after noticing a few oddities : last week I had light bleeding for 2-3 days, nothing serious (more brown old blood, really not much) but no cramps either. Although I thought it might be my period, after 2 days I wondered if this might be implantation bleeding? I also had absolutely no cramps or other "aches" you get around your period. Exactly 1 week after that bleeding, I had a serious attack of nausea and dizziness, feeling lightheaded. Almost threw up. Also persistent headache and gurgling bowels, the feeling that something is poking in my tummy or something, I can't quite place it. This morning (10 days after "implantation"?) I took a test but it was negative...the problem is I don't have a clear cycle. My IUD was removed exactly a month ago (after 3 years without a period) and since removal I haven't had a real period or any clear signs of ovulation.
I'm wondering: did I test too early? Or did I imagine the symptoms - and was I just coincidentally nauseous with a headache and gurgling bowels this week. No other typical pregnancy symptoms.
Anyone here with similar experiences?
Thanks! -x-
Your IUD has been out for a month now... it could be that your body is still figuring things out, but it could also be that you're pregnant and tested too early... I'd suggest waiting a bit, since you don't really have a cycle yet, you don't know if you're overdue... maybe take a test again in a week?
I'll join in by chatting and reading along for a bit....
Stopped the pill 8 months ago and since then I've had a 28-day cycle, never been late by a single day.
Today I'm 6 days late but I also got a negative test.
I did have cramps in my womb for 2 days and morning sickness for 2 days. Besides that, I've had constant hunger and cravings for things I normally don't like :S
I have Friday morning off and I was thinking of maybe making an appointment with the GP for a blood test by then. I'd be 10 days late and if I'm pregnant, it would be 4 weeks. Is that too early for a blood test?
For a blood test, it's definitely not too early. You can have it done very early. So it's definitely worth it. Feeling like doing things you normally wouldn't have the urge to do can be, but they do seem like very early symptoms to me, don't they? Did you take a good test? If so, I'd definitely make an appointment with your GP! I'm not pregnant... I got a huge period then! And now a new round, new chances. I'm supposed to get my period again next Friday, so I'll wait and see. I'm having sex every other day, as they recommend... right?
Having sex every other day is indeed good, and especially around ovulation. If you can feel or know when it is, you don't have to do it every other day throughout your whole cycle.
The day before ovulation and the day of ovulation are the best
Yeah, I think I’m feeling him, little kicks in my groin..? And that’s been going on for over a day. When I cough, I also feel this weird sensation. Not really explainable. Haha. I’m curious if I’ll get my period! ????
But now I don't really know exactly what my cycle is. The past couple of months it was 28 days, and the last time it was 35... So when should I be getting my period???
Keep the longest cycle if necessary. That cycle and ovulation can be tricky sometimes. I use ovulation tests because I hardly feel it and have irregular cycles. Good luck, ladies!
I did a Kruidvat test first, then one of those extra sensitive ones you can use from 5 days before your period... and a week later one from Clearblue... both were negative but since I've never been late with my period even by a day, I find it quite strange...
I'm making an appointment with my GP for Friday unless I suddenly get my period tomorrow... pff I really don't like this uncertainty...
Christina, so relatable! I don't really have a regular cycle yet. Mine just seems to get longer every month. I did an ovulation test every day from day 19 onwards, but as far as I know, I didn't spot any egg. I've had stomach cramps for a week now. It's already cycle day 40, and still no positive pregnancy test. So, per my GP's advice, I'll test again on Thursday and call if there's still nothing. Unfortunately, they can't give us exact predictions on a piece of paper.
I finally had an appointment (after waiting a long time at the doctor's)... and an hour later I got my period???
So I had to cancel the appointment again...
I have an appointment on Tuesday. I was told that if I get my period and it feels okay, I can still go ahead with the appointment to discuss things anyway.
Christina, you can now confidently start your new round again
Thank you! Had blood drawn yesterday and should already be 5 weeks along Hopefully everything goes well this time, appointment with the gynecologist on June 29. Exciting!
