5 days overdue, tests negative

Hi!
I have a question. Today I’m 5 days late, I’ve got quite a bit of vaginal discharge, I’ve been very emotional these past few days, and I’m getting occasional twinges in my lower abdomen. I took a pregnancy test on Sunday and it was negative. Could it be that I might test positive later, or should I just go to the doctor? We’re trying to conceive, but I don’t want to get too hopeful because I had a miscarriage in early February.

    How many days into your cycle are you now? Maybe it's taking a bit longer, or you tested too early.

    I'm on day 33 now. I've never had an irregular cycle, so it would feel weird. We'll see, I'll wait a few more days before testing.

    I don't know either! I stopped the pill in December and had a 31-day cycle the first month, then two 28-day cycles. I was supposed to get my period on Thursday night/Friday morning, but still nothing. Took a test yesterday morning, but the result window was blank. Nothing showing. I don't have any symptoms of being pregnant either, but I'm already a few days late. What now! I'm so impatient..

    I was seven days late last month. I normally get my period regularly. Negative tests. I convinced myself I was pregnant because of the symptoms, but the tests stayed negative. And sure enough, I got my period. Good luck and try to let it go a bit. I'm not saying you're not pregnant, but unfortunately, the chance is there..

    I'm trying to let it go as best I can! But with every little thing I think, yeah, you see. And still, I haven't gotten my period. I'm trying to wait until Saturday to take a test. Then I can try to relax in the meantime and hopefully get my period. If I really can't hold out, I'll do it on Thursday???? I'm starting from nothing...but it still feels so weird. That's over time haha! Thanks!

    I'm now 13 days late and still no period, and the tests keep coming back negative... It's really frustrating, you know... It's the first time I've been this late.

    I'm already 6 days overdue and had a negative test the day before yesterday. I think I'll test again after the weekend if nothing has started.

    Do I need to see my GP after the weekend if I still haven't bled? Or is that unnecessary and should I just wait?

    Nah. Is your cycle regular? How many days in are you now?
    Waiting is tough, but there's not much else you can do right now (I think).

    I was planning to go to the doctor tomorrow, but I'll wait a bit. This morning I had a very small amount of light pink blood on my toilet paper.

    Wensje2, I stopped the pill in January, then had a regular cycle, sometimes a day later than expected. Now without the pill, I've had cycles of 32 days and one of 29, and I'm now on day 36 with no sign of my period, and no symptoms of pregnancy either. I think the chance of being pregnant this month is very small.

    Probably the cycle is still really figuring things out. I ended up getting 6 days late. But it could also go up to 13 days. I'd wait a little longer... no matter how hard it is! Waiting is awful!

    Does this mean I had the egg later or still need to get it? Or did I already have it and only the bleeding remains?

    It's possible that you ovulated later. That would also mean your period came later, indeed. If you didn't ovulate, it's even possible that you skipped it altogether. Then it starts all over again from when you get your next period. It's all so complicated... :-( Hope you get some clarity soon!

    And how is it now? I thought I was getting my period. One tampon with a little bit of old blood... Then nothing at all, and now just a little bit of old blood again... I don't know what's going on with my body, but it's really frustrating me????
