Sadness
Girls mommyGuest ·
Hi mamas,
I've never been on a forum before, but I thought maybe this might be for me
I'm a mom of 2 girls, aged 2 and 5. I'm currently 19 weeks pregnant with our third little one. Both girls were born prematurely (at 31 and 34 weeks), and I also had a miscarriage, so getting pregnant was really, really scary for me! Since week 14, I've had pelvic instability. Apparently, these days it doesn't just mean lying around, but trying to keep moving anyway. I have a lot of back and belly pain, and on most days, terrible headaches. For all these complaints, I go to the physio, chiropractor, and I see the gynecologist and midwife. From week 24, I'll only be seeing the gynecologist, so hopefully, I'll get some more rest then. I'm incredibly sad. I can barely do anything anymore. No work, no caring for my girls, no walking, no running errands. Just sitting and walking for short periods or lying down. I've watched almost everything I like on Netflix. And my friends and family just have their own lives, so they have little time, which I don't expect from them at all. Every week, I'm happy when it's Friday. Then my husband has two days off, but he still has to do things, of course.
I'm bored and feeling pretty down because of all the pain and doing nothing. And yet, I'm incredibly happy because our baby is doing super well! I just have to keep in mind that I could go into labor from week 30 onwards, but I've already come to terms with that.
Does anyone have tips on how to get through this? I feel like a bad mother, wife, and the days just creep by...
A hopeless mom
