Yeah, it’s still uncertain, right, those first three months.. I had one miscarriage at 6 weeks myself but that "milestone" for me is luckily already behind me! But I totally get that it was pretty intense for your kids too.. But with the vomiting, you might not be able to keep it hidden anyway.
Glad you’re not feeling nauseous yet either!! Hopefully it stays that way...
I think my due date is around Dec 6th or 7th and I had the scan on May 8th so we’re close!
Hi ladies,
I was just curious how you're all doing?
I find it pretty tough myself... being pregnant and having two energetic kids I really have very little energy.. and now we're also in the middle of a move (what timing, huh? haha)
Same here! I don't have much patience for the kids. Luckily, my husband makes sure I can sleep in extra on weekends, and otherwise, I just go to bed early in the evening. Usually around 9 PM. Pretty boring, but that's how I keep going. I hope I'll have more energy after about 12 weeks!
Oh, thank goodness it's relatable! It's exactly the same here (currently sitting in my pyjamas on the bed). If I sleep from 9 PM to 6:30 AM, I can manage, but especially towards the end of the afternoon I often really run out of steam.. luckily the girls don't mind crafting at the table for an hour that gives me just the bit of quiet I need..
Have you had your ultrasound yet Sunshine? I found it so special again!!
How lovely that your kids can entertain themselves for a bit. My 3.5-year-old daughter can do that just fine, but my almost 2-year-old son can't at all! Luckily, he still sleeps after lunch.
By the way, I also find this really super annoying: the kids are in bed, I tidy up downstairs, flop onto the couch... and then one of them starts shouting! Really stupid, because then I have to get myself up again, go upstairs, etc. Haha, it's really bad that I'm so bothered by it. On the other hand, my daughter really understands that there's a baby in my belly, and she already gives kisses and asks a thousand questions. Super cute.
I had the ultrasound on Friday, and everything looked good. I found it really touching to see the baby move.
Hi ladies, I'm very early in my third pregnancy, 4+3 weeks. I have two sons, 8 and almost 2 years old. I'm turning 30 next month and have been with my husband for 11 years.
My eldest son came naturally and the youngest via IVF. Now it's back to IVF. I'm already crossing my fingers hard that everything stays positive.
Eva, how is your pregnancy going? I read that you lost a baby. That's so hard. I hope everything turned out okay with the other baby.
I'm having a lot of period-like cramps which really worries me. Also, one breast is sore Haha the other one is catching up.
Congratulations, Snoez! And it's so nice that everything worked out. That whole IVF hassle and stuff sounds pretty intense to me. I totally relate to those menstrual pains! It's such an annoying feeling and, indeed, quite frightening. Apparently, it's all part of it. I'm now 13 weeks pregnant and hardly have any trouble with it anymore.
Thanks! Yes, the IVF process is indeed pretty intense, but it's all for a good cause. The menstrual cramps have also decreased significantly now. I had my first ultrasound yesterday, and everything is going perfectly at the moment. It's nice that you don't have any more after-effects from it. How are the other kids reacting to your pregnancy?
My daughter, who's just over 3.5, thinks it's wonderful. She asks tons of questions and regularly gives my belly a kiss or a cuddle. Her questions cover every detail: "Where does the baby come out from? How does that sperm get to your egg? etc." My son, almost 2, doesn't really get involved, I think. Your 8-year-old surely understands a lot already!
That's so nice you had a good ultrasound. That must give you peace of mind!
