Feel depressed

Hi ladies,

I'm dealing with something. We've had a beautiful daughter for 7 months now. She's super easy-going and cheerful; I could ask for nothing better.

Since giving birth, I've been in a sort of slump. I worry about everything. Even the smallest things feel like too much, and I lie awake overthinking everything: am I doing it right? Am I still pretty enough? I think I'm way too fat and feel insecure about everything. This doesn't fit me at all. I've never worried about what others think of me, not just physically, but also when I have an opinion on something.

If my husband doesn't want sex once in a while, I feel completely rejected and can only think that he doesn't find me pretty anymore and doesn't want me. We've talked about it, and he understands me completely, but I can imagine he also thinks, "Here she goes again, nagging."

I can obsess over the tiniest things all day and then just want to stay alone in the bedroom all day.

Who relates to this and maybe has some tips for me?

Best,

Go ahead and talk to your GP or the child health clinic; it sounds like postpartum depression. You can get help for that so you can feel better in your own skin again.
