18 weeks/belly pain

Hi everyone,
I'm 18 weeks pregnant tomorrow, and I've had stomach pain since yesterday. I can't really describe it... It feels like contractions, and I have diarrhea (which I've had throughout my whole pregnancy, by the way).
The midwife says it's probably just my intestines and that I don't need an ultrasound, but it still doesn't sit right with me, especially given my previous miscarriage. Are there others around 18 weeks who have this problem?

Yes, it could indeed be your intestines. Your whole insides are changing, after all. I’ve been having a bit more discomfort this week too.
