I stopped the pill in early November. After that, my period returned to normal and stopped when I expected it to.
So, I was supposed to get my period again on December 10th. I took a test then and it was negative. I think I'll just wait for my period to come and then try again. But it's been 3 days late and I still haven't gotten my period. However, for the past week I've been having vague symptoms like bloating, nausea, and if I don't eat in the morning, the nausea doesn't stop at all (whereas before I could never have breakfast because it made me nauseous), headaches, sore nipples, constipation, and frequent urination. I just don't dare take another test because I'm afraid of the disappointment. Sometimes I even start wondering if these symptoms are just in my head and that I actually want to feel this way? I do know that when you've just stopped the pill, your period can be irregular. Should I test again at the end of the week if I still haven't gotten my period?

If you stopped in November, the first period you get after that is still from the pill strip. Your second period, which you get after stopping the pill, is the first one from your own body. It’s possible that you’ll be regular again after that, but it could also be irregular for a few months. I think you’re still in the process of coming off the pill, and that’s why you’re having symptoms. But testing again in a week can’t hurt. If you’ve just stopped taking the pill, don’t be surprised if there are a few months between your periods, but some people are right back on track immediately.
