Why do I feel this way

Hello dear chatterboxes,
A question, does anyone know why I have little pains in my lower abdomen every month after my ovulation? This isn't imaginary, the twinges are real, aching while I know that implantation hasn't happened yet? As if something is pushing around in my lower abdomen.. I'm now on cycle day 20, had positive ovulation tests on day 16+17. So I think I ovulated on Tuesday.
I hope someone can tell me why I feel this?
