Oooh, must have been super stressful! How long did it take you? I'm already on round 4 now

The pregnancy test was also very light for me twice! And then the Clearblue was immediately a bright positive!!!
So exciting, Lilly, I really hope it worked out for you! Sometimes you don't have to feel anything at all. I did feel some movement in my belly, felt different, but wasn't really focused on it being the right time because I never expected it to happen in one go.

I'm also having some trouble with my belly. Maarja, think about it too, it could be from all sorts of things, of course ! I really hope so too !
Are you still having trouble with groin pain now?

With my son, I had my period once and then I got pregnant. With my miscarriage, it was also on the first try. And now I’ve had one period since my miscarriage, and it was a hit again.

And even during those times when I got my period, I used to drive myself crazy wondering why I wasn’t pregnant yet, etc. But actually, you only have one chance per month to get pregnant, so this is only your 4th attempt. That’s not a lot when you only have one moment per month when it can happen. So don’t stress yourself out over what you did wrong or what’s wrong that it hasn’t worked yet. It often happens when you least expect it!

Nope, I haven't had many complaints anyway.
I found out I was pregnant the day before my holiday started. I started taking folic acid with vitamin D, and because of the intense sun (which also helps your body produce vitamin D), I got too much and became nauseous. I started taking it in the evening, which helped a bit, but my holiday was pretty much ruined. Back in the Netherlands, I stopped immediately and switched to regular folic acid...
I think I only really started feeling nauseous in the mornings around week 6. But after 9 weeks, everything went away at once. No more sore breasts, no nausea, not so exhausted anymore. I got a bit panicked because I started getting stomach pain, so I immediately requested an ultrasound. Everything was fine. The stomach pain was explained by the beginning of round ligament pain and the growth of the uterus.
Unfortunately, I do have pelvic instability, which is my only complaint that I've had since week 11, and unfortunately, I won't get rid of it during my pregnancy. My breasts are starting to grow again now, which is a bit annoying because I'm not that big, so it really stands out.

    Otherwise, I really can't complain

Wow mamaN, you're among the lucky ones who get pregnant quickly but yeah, indeed, you have a 20% chance per month, which is quite low! It's totally okay if it happens faster if you really want it to

Liesx, what exactly does pelvic instability mean? And it wasn't too bad for you in terms of symptoms, right?
  7. liesx #47

    Pelvic instability means; #?!$€&@

Your pelvis widens to make room for the baby, who of course needs to fit and be able to come out later. The muscles around it become looser/softer. But I have a misalignment in my pelvis, which means that as those muscles loosen, it creates a lot of instability. The left side tilts backward, causing a lot of pain, weakness in my leg, and sometimes locking of the hip joint.

I'm not the type to sit still, so I kept walking around... Now it's inflamed and I'm further along than I should be. I need rest, can't work anymore, and can't lift, bend, twist, run, etc., etc.

Oh, that does sound really painful! Can you just have a natural birth then, or not? I hadn't heard of that before!
  9. liesx #49

    Yes, that's totally fine!

    Hi ladies,

I'm 22 and will start trying to get pregnant next month. I find it all quite exciting.

I've already started taking folic acid.

    Here's a (hopefully) young mom-to-be too!
I'm (almost) 21, and we've been trying for three rounds now for our first!
My boyfriend is a bit older, almost 28.
But it's definitely desired by us too!
  15. Gall #55

    Yesss, we're pregnant!
    Today 6 weeks

I'm (almost) 21 but we really want a baby
Everything's already sorted out; we both have stable jobs, a house, a car, so it's possible too

    Hi!
    I’ll be 19 in May 2020.
I’ve wanted kids for a long time now.
Been trying for 1.5 years already, but nothing yet.
    Never took the pill, nothing.
    Always been with this guy.
Hope something changes for me soon.
Wishing you lots of success too, x

That's been a while! Hopefully, more luck this year!
  20. michelleZ #60

Yeah, it was definitely the plan. We're getting married this year too, so it would be amazing if this works out too????????
