lillyyy
Hey everyone!

My name is Lilly and I'm 20 years old. I've had a strong desire for kids for a long time! I've been off the pill since August and I'm really trying to conceive our first baby! It's all very exciting!

Are there any young mamas or mamas-to-be here?

Hey Lilly, I'm 20 too. We've been off the pill since Feb..
Super nice that you've also stopped the pill. Good luck!

Hey viertje! Wishing you lots of success too! Now we're entering round 4, never thought there'd actually be so much more to it

Liesx and jokien92, enjoy your pregnancy!! Did it take you long to get pregnant?
We're now in round 8.. I have to go to the GP tomorrow morning. Been having stomach pain for 5 weeks. My last period was also very heavy, which I normally never have... hoping for good news, but well
It's a bit stressful, Lilly, every month again in suspense. Do you have a regular cycle?
  7. liesx #8

    Thank you!!
No, not really. We decided in July to start trying, thinking it would take 3 months to half a year to get pregnant.
By early August, I already had a positive pregnancy test result. I hadn't used the pill for years, and my IUD had been out for half a year already. So I could sync my cycle and felt right away that it had to be happening the following week. Bah, I hope you get some decent news from your GP You've had a lot of stomach pain in the last few weeks, but luckily nothing related to how the little one is doing.

Enjoy your pregnancy! It's a gift to you. No, you don't hear that often, do you?

Liesx, good news for you too. I'll find out tomorrow what the HA says... I can't figure out where the stomach pain is coming from, and I haven't been sick or anything... I'm allowed to go straight to the appointment at 8 am tomorrow, so I'm glad about that.

Not so regular unfortunately. First cycle 40 days, second 29 days, and this round it was 33 days, so it varies..
Now we're going into round 4. Last round we took it easy every other day. This round I'm using ovulation tests so I know exactly when my ovulation is..
I really didn't expect it to take this 'long'. Everyone in my family gets pregnant so quickly!

Lots of luck to the fourth one, I'll be rooting for you.
Oh my, such an irregular cycle, Lilly! And it's been going on for a while too. I understand it feels long, but all in all it's not too bad compared to some other stories. But when you really want it to work out, a month really does feel long if it doesn't happen
  12. viertje #13

Yeah, it does vary quite a bit. Maybe it'll stay about the same for now. I'll start doing ovulation tests from next month too... but I do think it's taking a while now, but hey, patience is a virtue hihi

Yeah, compared to others I'm just getting started, but when you really want something, it can't go fast enough, of course
  14. liesx #15

I totally understand you!! I hope it works out quickly for you! Enjoy the fact that you don't have any symptoms right now

It's wonderful to be a young mom! I'm 24 and have two daughters, almost 2 and 3 months old.
Don't get the idea that you'll get pregnant quickly because of your age. I had those same thoughts 4 years ago and needed hospital help to get pregnant in both my pregnancies.
Hopefully, it works out quickly for everyone. Every month is one too many, really

No, I’m taking that into account. I know quite a few people in my circle who needed or still need medical help. I get the impression you hear about it more often...

I went to the GP this morning. I probably have blockages in my colon, which is why I keep getting stomach pain. It feels weird though, because my bowel movements aren't any different than usual.

    How's it going over there?
  18. viertje #19

Yes, I got those powders for it. You have to use them for 2 weeks, and if it's not gone by then, come back again.

Oh yeah... stomach flu is going around... take care and get well soon!
  19. liesx #20

Hope the powders work quickly! And you don't have to go back anymore.
