Introductions
22 years old, first pregnancy.
Hi! I'm Jamie, 22 years old. My boyfriend Alex (33) and I found out on July 30th that I'm pregnant! We've been dating for 4.5 years and will have been living together for 3 years in September.
On June 22nd we decided to stop the pill, on June 25th my last period started, and just 3 days after my period ended I was already pregnant—it all happened so fast. We're super happy about it, though I personally feel a bit sad that I haven't had much time to read up on things, and now—even though everything is brand new—I have no idea what I need to arrange and when.
Since stopping the pill, I've been taking folic acid, picked up prenatal vitamins on the 30th, and signed up with a midwife. On the 31st I called my doctor, who was completely surprised that I got pregnant so quickly but super happy for us.
I've also signed up with "Moeders voor Moeders" so I can help other women with their pregnancy wishes.
Other than waiting for the midwife and watching my diet, I have no idea what else I should be doing in the meantime.
Any tips? To keep myself busy, I've already started keeping a nice pregnancy journal.
x Jamie.
