Bottle feeding
5-month-old baby barely eating any porridge
Hatsjoo
Hi,
I'm facing a little problem. My daughter, now 5 months old, has never been a big eater, but lately it's really terrible. She does have periods where she eats less than usual, but this has been going on for 3 weeks now.
She's 5 months old, 64 cm tall, and weighed 5860g 10 days ago (she's already dropped from the 45th percentile to the 10th percentile since birth). Veggie and fruit puree goes pretty well; she eats between 150 and 200g, but cereal/pap is a disaster. She's still getting 3 bottles. Up until 3 weeks ago, she drank 150 + 5 sips (which was still on the low side...), but now it's dropped to barely 300ml.
In the morning she drinks barely 60-70ml, at 11:00 and 15:00 she has veggie and fruit puree, at 19:00 she drinks 90-100ml, and at 23:00 100ml. She's not currently teething, nor is she sick. For a growth spurt, it seems a bit too early to me...
Anyone else have the same experiences or any tips to get her to eat better?
