Don't get it, pregnant or not

Hi everyone!

I get that this is yet another topic about negative tests, but I honestly don't understand anything anymore.

I'm 3 weeks overdue now and haven't taken the pill for 3 months. To be honest, I completely forgot I was supposed to get my period, so I wasn't even nervous about a possible pregnancy. Suddenly I thought: Oops, maybe it's time for my period. But it didn't come. Then, when I started feeling nauseous and throwing up, a little light started to turn on in my head.

So now I'm regularly throwing up, have severe headaches (which I never get), extra discharge, and basically everything else you can think of. The only thing I don't have is sore breasts.

I've taken 2 tests from Etos, 2 from Kruidvat, and 1 at the GP's office. One of the Kruidvat tests showed a heeeeeen faint line. So faint that you really had to look closely, so I was doubtful. That's why I did the test at the GP's.

At the GP's, I first got a test. It was negative. I had to wait a long time in the waiting room. Then I was told they made me wait to see if the symptoms would go away, in case it was a false pregnancy or something. But I still had them the next day. At the end of my GP visit, they said I should keep testing every week because I might not be producing enough hormones yet for a positive test. So I'm slightly confused.

Can it be that the GP also tests negative even if you are pregnant, or am I just really sick? By the way, my digestion was also checked, so that's not the cause of the pain. I'm now dealing with quite a bit of pain in my belly, stabbing sensations, cramps, I keep gagging, and feel weak.

Anyone who can help?!

To be absolutely sure, you'd best get a blood test done, and since you're feeling so bad, get tested for everything possible right away

Totally agree, I think it's weird they didn't take blood samples right away.

They didn’t think it was necessary to do that quickly. They said I could come back in about 2 weeks if needed.

    Hi everyone,

I have a question and I hope you can help me because I'm getting a bit confused.
I took a Clearview test on June 14th. When nothing really happened, I put it away.
I looked again after about 10 minutes and saw a faint red line, even though the urine had run all over the test.
I checked again in the evening and the line was gone, only the control line remained.
The next day, June 15th, I took a Predictor Express test, which was negative.
Today, June 15th, I did notice some brown discharge when wiping, which went away after a while, and some stomach pain.

    Best,
    Mirjam

    Mirjam,

    I'm in a similar situation.
Nauseous at the most random times, headaches,... around the time I was due for my period, I've had light brown/red spotting the last 2 times, followed by 2-3 days of heavy bleeding and cramps. The last time was especially bad (never had it this bad before), I thought I couldn't get out of bed from the pain.

After a few days, no more issues...

I was at the GP recently and she suggested doing a blood test, but I consciously refused.

    Hi Luutje,

My last "period" was on June 23rd and 24th. Strange bleeding, very light pink/red blood, very watery, no clots... gone by the 25th. On June 26th, only brown when wiping... so now I'm not sure anymore. I've had cramps again for a few days, coming and going.

    Best,
    Mirjam
