Pregnant and 'alone'

Hi Gwen, congratulations on your pregnancy! I’ve been a single mom twice myself, and sometimes I have to admit that I miss making decisions on my own. But on the other hand, it’s pretty cool that my youngest son has a dad with whom he can do dad-and-son stuff.
It’s not always easy, but it’s totally doable.

Good luck and enjoy your pregnancy

Hey Gwen! It's a special situation you're in but special doesn't mean it can't work out or isn't good....you should mainly do what feels right for you. Do you think your partner would ever want to come your way, do you think? I'd also have a hard time leaving my family behind.

Maybe you could agree that he'll be there around the time of the birth...that he'll come stay with you for a month if that works out with his job. It's really nice to have some support and help in the beginning anyway. And who knows, you might end up having a C-section or the birth could be heavier than expected....then all the help (with lifting, making meals, etc.) is welcome
