MAMAVAN, this is exactly what I mean: let someone just be happy about the positive test.
Why always throw so much negativity, especially about yourself, into someone else’s thread? Enjoy your pregnancy..

And dear thread starter, I hope you can enjoy your pregnancy, please do, and don’t pay attention to the reality-check of some fellow forum members..

Isn’t it wonderful to hold a test showing 1-2 weeks pregnant? Delicious

Oh mom.. the mom-to-be in the flu in November is already being talked about a lot, it's a pity to have those kinds of people around. Congratulations Claudje, super beautiful test.

MEM, I didn't mean it in a bad way at all..
But anyway, you're right, I'm going to enjoy my pregnancy. Now it's your turn!
  4. Mama van #24

    Congratulations Claudje

Yes, dear Nicole, I understand your sigh...
You're just finishing up the last few steps...

And mamavan, yes, let's hope we'll see it all work out. If not, onward to the new month, new round... Stay positive

Mom, even you make me insecure. I've already read in several topics that you told people you had a miscarriage. You really shouldn't tell such things to people who just got a positive test. It only scares them and makes waiting for the ultrasound feel even longer.

Claudjeclau Congratulations and try to enjoy it!

It's just nature, young mom, these things happen sometimes.
You didn't have it right from the start.. it happens a lot if you read further on the forum or some tell me I had an ultrasound but they didn't see an embryo?
Or the little heart wasn't beating anymore, of course you can become insecure about that.. but you should always keep that in mind...
A friend of mine had a stillborn baby at 39 weeks of pregnancy, can't you talk about that then? What nonsense.
  8. * #28

Mamavan, you're welcome to talk about it, but please do so in a topic you open specifically for that purpose, and only if someone asks for that info...
  9. Mama van #29

But as soon as you get the first ultrasound, Claudje, that’s such a beautiful face with a beating heart. I got tears in my eyes, it was so beautiful..
  10. Mama van #30

Well, I'm going to enjoy my baby! Such a lovely feeling!
  11. K-Xje #31

You're pregnant, dear claudjeclau! Congratulations and enjoy it!!
''MEM, it's just pure reality, I don't want to make anyone insecure or scared..
But do you have an image in mind for yourself? That you won't fixate on being only 4-5 weeks pregnant? I think you can only really breathe and enjoy from week 12.
And that has absolutely nothing to do with making people scared or insecure, you just have to stay realistic! And of course every woman who just tested positive is insecure about how things will go and whether the heartbeat is there etc.
That's why I said (carefully) Congratulations, but it's absolutely not meant any less...''

Indeed @mamavan, not for one or the other.. But then shouldn't you be happy?! So if it's still very early, shouldn't you be happy? Or congratulate someone? Really nonsense!
It's a living being after all? You say you can only start enjoying after 12 weeks? This bit above, sorry with all respect, it's just plain stupid talk! And I don't say that often..
In life nothing is certain, yes 2 things, that you will die one day, and that life is not certain.

A bit of a shame this.

    Well said, dear Mem!

Enjoy your pregnancy claudjeclau! Time to make some phone calls

    Love xxx

Congratulations, Claudia! That’s a pretty clear test! There are a lot more faint lines around here

Mom of, you probably mean well, but you can congratulate someone gently if they’ve tested for what they need and the line is very faint, because the chance is still somewhat higher that the miscarriage might still happen... but this test is quite clear. And as already said before, if someone has tested positive, you congratulate them on it, that’s super good news for most of us here! We all assume it will continue to go well, and if it does go wrong despite our hopes, we’ll support them by then. Especially that first trimester is already quite stressful and uncertain for most, so there’s no need to have it confirmed again by others.

Claudia, I wish you a healthy pregnancy!
  14. Jongemoeder #34

You try to stay positive during pregnancy, and of course, you have in the back of your mind that things could go wrong, but you don't need to mention that to the mom. Everyone has their past, and if you want to talk about it, do as mem says: open a topic about it instead of making someone feel insecure.

Congratulations claudjeclau!!! Enjoy it so much with such a test in your hands!! .....

And no drama ..... Just leave that to the left

    Just enjoy the moment, ladies.
With my second daughter, I knew it 3 days before her due date, so it was quite early, but she’s now sleeping peacefully on my lap. Don’t let yourself get scared and try to enjoy it. Stress doesn’t help, after all.
