1st vaccination

Michelle
My little boy will be 2 months old soon and is getting his first vaccination on June 6th.
I'm really dreading it because I hear they can have a really hard time with it and even get sick for a few days..
With that heel prick he didn't even flinch and slept right through it, but this is totally different..

How did it go for you with your child's first vaccination??

Read up on the Door Frankema website first. You can also postpone vaccinations, don't forget that!

She cried quite a bit here, but was comforted again after the first shots. Sometimes she didn't even make a sound! My daughter often started getting a bit clingy about 3 hours after the shots, but that always went away completely after 24 hours. Sometimes a little paracetamol was needed, but not always.

Since my little boy was really quite flu-like, I postponed the shots..
But if your baby is feeling well, you can go ahead and get the shots.
There are quite a few differing opinions on what exactly is in the DTaP and MMR vaccines..
But anyway, read up on it or ask people around you.. Of course, you'll get plenty of info here too Congratulations again on your beautiful miracle....

My son had his first shots a bit later due to a hospital stay. So they were 2 weeks behind.
But he did cry a bit during the shots, of course. But he's never been sick from a shot!
So it doesn't have to be.
What is important though is that you stay calm yourself. I notice with my son that when I acted like it was the most normal thing in the world, he stayed calm too.

My husband and I did things completely differently with our three daughters.
    They were all vaccinated later.
Jasmijn, our third daughter, is now 2 months old.
We’re only going to get her vaccinated when she’s 11 months old.
And even then, just one shot per visit.
You do have a choice in this, you’re just not told. Don’t let anyone fool you.

What people usually don't realize is that the negative effects of starting vaccinations so young only become apparent later in development. It's not always immediately visible.
There are also a lot of harmful substances in the shots.
Which are difficult for the little body to process.
And often remain in the body for a long time.
Because the little body can't eliminate them yet.
Later, this can manifest as allergies and other unpleasant issues.
    Combination shots are cheaper.
Multiple diseases covered in one shot, nice and quick.
    Saves money and time.
But it's certainly not healthier for your baby.
A point often not considered enough or at all.
No one gets two or more diseases at once from nature to fight off.
But good, they do put them all in one shot.
    So we're quickly done.
I'd rather think about what's better for such a tiny little body.
So that's why we did it our way with our girls.

My little boy had his first vaccinations two weeks ago.
He was so sad, crying a lot. He wasn’t feeling great all day, but the next day he was fine again! Lots of cuddles with your baby on the day of the shots.

My daughter got her first shots yesterday and screamed her head off, haha. She was warm all day and had a bit of a fever, but we cuddled up nicely, and now she feels completely better and is laughing all day again.
