Crib or sidecar bed?

We're still debating between a bassinet and a sidecar crib. What experiences do you all have with either of these two types of beds?

We used a bassinet twice, but looking back, a sidecar bassinet would've been ideal. It's so nice when you're breastfeeding and can just slide your little one into their crib. A friend of mine has one too and swears by it.
